Revisiting Missy Dialogue

I think the Master is trying to steal the Doctor's body again...
Quote:
“MISSY: Hello. I'm Missy. You made it. I hope my boyfriend wasn't too mean to you.
HALF-FACE MAN: Boy friend?
MISSY: Now, did he push you out of that thing, or did you fall? Couldn't really tell. He can be very mean sometimes. Except to me, of course, because he loves me so much. I do like his new accent, though. Think I might keep it.
HALF-FACE MAN: Where am I?
MISSY: Where do you think you are? Look around you. You made it. The promised land. Paradise. Welcome to heaven.”

Ah yes.. that would explain some things.. you could be right.

Perhaps "he" doesn't actually like being in a woman's body.
Mind you there's been no indication of that so far, quite the reverse in fact, "he" seems to be revelling in it!

"Now that is a surprise. And I love surprises..."

I bet regenerating into a woman was a tad surprising for The Master, eh? :-P

Good call! Do you think "the snog" that Missy forced upon The Doctor was The Master trying to absorb some regeneration power from The Doc, or was it a ploy to get the viewers to think that Missy was River Song? I suspect many fans at that point did!

ooh! And if Missy can get the Doctor's mind into the Matrix Slice, then his body will be an empty vessel to put her own mind into!

I think it was intended to have that sort of effect on the audience. I don't think the Master could do much with a tiny sample of energy, but I am reminded of the Master's last appearance, when he was resurrected using an 'imprint' taken from Lucy's lips as she had kissed him. Didn't make much sense then either, but there may be a callback to that.

Another Random Thought: The shot of Missy waking up in the Trailer could be the Doctor waking up in Missy's body after a swap!

is missy responsible for danny's death? she said she had chosen clara well - was she assuming if she killed someone close to clara she would make the doctor try and track them down and bring him to the nethersphere..?

Could be on to something here. Also in the most recent trailer, when a cyberman reveals itself to be on the outside of the plane, Peter Capaldi doesn't seem particularly concerned, could that be because he's currently playing the Master?

Or she could be planning to convert/partially convert him into an alpha cyberman/cyber time-lord. Perhaps one of her game plans is to force him to surrender his emotions - this would explain her collecting people whose deaths he was in some way responsible for
Spoiler
and the set report rumours of Amy and Rory's corpses being converted into cybermen.

Think about it, what else would Missy love more than having the power to exert total control over an emotionless cyber-doctor to serve under his mistress for all eternity

There's a line in Sherwood that makes me wonder... "And remember Doctor, I'm as real as you are".... What if none of this season is real and it has all taken place in a time lord Matrix... Oooo spooky.

And, of course, Michelle Gomez is actually Scottish, so she would just be using her natural accent. (She's also married to Jack Davenport, who was one of the stars of Moffat's Friends-alike sitcom Coupling.)

Then Missy's body will be an empty vessel the Doctor could put his mind into

That's it - a female Doctor !!!

Or downloaded into a Cyberman - now that would be cool, a Cyber-Doctor

Or, seeing as she's also Scottish, she decided to mimmick his new accent - keeping it.

To be honest that episode has put a 'wait and see' seed in my head ever since it aired. I know there was a deliberate ambiguity around Robin and his merry men regarding if they were robots or human. I am hoping they were robots because if they were actually supposed to be the 'real' thing then...solely in terms of historic story telling..well dare I use the words 'shark' and 'jump'.

Clara is also very strange in this one. A 27 year old English teacher believing the 'cartoon' characters in front of her. At one point even excitedly moving to get a better view when Robin pulls out a sword on The Doctor. (the log and spoon fight)

I have to say I found that whole episode very strange. Now I dont know if that is because the episode was as awful as I thought it was (imo) or if it is part of a bigger picture.

A very strange episode indeed.

I agree with your point, its nagged me the whole series.

I'm sure GUS's 'holodeck' technology (Orient Express) has something to do with it all.

There's also the eleventh Doctor's comment to Clara when he was asking her to accept the twelfth - he said it's gonna be a whopper. What if, when he said whopper, meant a big lie, not just big?
