Nutribullet - Anyone Got One?
Has anyone got one? All the reviews I've read are raving about it. I've got a blender and have used a number of different ones in the past, but the cleaning always annoys me. I like that with the Nutribullet you make the smoothie in the cup and then drink it from the cup. I've noticed the normal one is a 600W but that they now do a 900W one too. Just wondering if anyone has got the 600W one and thinks it's good? I'm thinking of getting that one, as the 900W costs quite a bit more.

![]() Obviously it is not as good as a Vitamix but not as pricey either. It's perfectly good for making smoothies and does blend well, and also grinds very well too. I suppose it depends what you want to use it for, but for my needs overseas it is fine. |

I can't believe the price these things are going for. I bought exactly the same thing years ago from Woolworths, only its called something else. I paid £30 max. It's a good little machine but not worth the new price tag.

It was usually found on those late night shopping channels like JML or QVC. Probably found its way into high street stores too. |

I use a hand blender to make smoothies and it works just fine and it isn't a pain to clean as the blade detaches from the handle. I think it cost between £10 and £15. I can't see the value in the nutribullet at the price they charge, honestly. Being able to drink it out of the glass you made it in is really not worth the extra charge for me as I do dishes every day anyway, an extra glass is hardly a burden.
I don't know if it's the nutribullet specifically or another brand but there's an infomercial on in the morning sometimes with the guy making the smoothies and the blonde lady saying 'mmm, I can wait to try that one' and her face really says it all, lol. It barely touches her lips and she's saying, 'mmm, that's SO good!' I'm not dissing people who juice or drink smoothies, they're absolutely good for you, but I think the product is severely overpriced. |

My husband makes his green smoothie every day in his, easy to wash up, uses all the fruit and veg, he puts frozen spinach in his which makes it nicer he says. I think drinking from the cup is useful, sometimes he puts the lid on and takes it with him to drink later so having a decent cup and lid is very helpful.

They are very expensive although a friend brought one cheaply.
I just use my liquidiser or my stick blender. Easy to clean and a lot cheaper. |

Had mine awhile and think this:
It came with 1 large cup/mixing container thing and 2 regular size ones. I wouldn't preferred 2 large ones as I never use the little ones and the large one gives a decent sized concoction. Easy to use, bung stuff in, add water to the v.hard to see level line and activate. I have mine plugged into a plug-in timer thing set for the required 30s (the recommended time) as it is much easier than counting down each darn time. For carrots I find grating them before hand gives the thing less work to do and results in smoother outcomes, but don't expect just liquid to come out, bits will be there too. I don't mind this btw. Noisy but 30s of noise is fine. |

Well I bought one last weekend and I absolutely love it. It's very, very quick and so easy to clean. It's small as well so doesn't take up any space. It grinds down ice too. It think it's fantastic.

I also think its a great machine. I can only drink whatever I've blended if its ice cold for some reason, so I also add frozen spinach and berries. I did buy wheatgrass powder and spirulina powders to add, as suggested on Ideal World shopping channel but yikes they are disgusting! 😵

I think I've only used mine to make breadcrumbs for the last couple of years. Your favourite smoothie recipes would be much appreciated.

I've been making smoothies filling half of the large cup with spinach and the other half of it with frozen berries (strawberries, rasberries, cherries and blackberries), then filling up with water to the max line. Tastes amazing and nice and cold. Can't even taste the spinach either!! I've also tried it with milk instead of water and it's even better!! Apple and ginger is another great one (with water). Also strawberries and bananas. Another good one is orange and pineapple.

I'd like to get more fruit and veg into my diet and this sounds like a good way. Have you tried broccoli instead of spinach? |

![]() Farmfoods is a good place for frozen mixed berries, 750g for £1. Frozen apple slices too. I think ASDA do a frozen fruit salad mix for around 89p. I only use my machine for fruit and veg I wouldn't consume otherwise. I've found spinach to be tasteless where's if I use kale, avocado, broccoli, the end result usually tastes just like that. |

Where do you get the berries from? Do you buy them frozen or fresh and then freeze them?

TBH I'd prefer it to be tasteless in respect of green veg and would prefer the fruit to overpower the veg in taste, but like the idea of still having greens in the mix.

I'm the same as you. I use spinach and you can't taste it at all when you put it in the Nutribullet....I use quite a lot too!! Cucumber is another good one! I tried kale the other day but that ruined the drink completely...tasted like a garden!!!
