This is a tough one for me:

I would go with Alesha Dixon actually, and although she was a rubbish judge, she was a superb dancer and could do every dance to a superb standard, some of which were perfect.

But in close second would be Natalie Gumede, I think she was a superb dancer and she always told a story in her dances in my opinion.

I don't know for sure, but I'd have Denise Lewis and Colin Jackson high up the pecking order.

I agree with the OP... Alesha Dixon without a doubt.

She was just sublime. I adored her and as she was partnered with Matthew Cutler (my fave professional ever) ...it was a winning combination.

also agree about Rachel Stevens, she was fabulous and I was genuinely gutted that herself and the lovely Vincent lost out to Tom Chambers & Camilla .

If I had to pick one then Kara .. but I'd probably pick different celebs for different dances.

All of my top choices have already been said, but for me Kara is in a league of her own.

Alesha wasn't as good technically, but she and Matt were a brilliant partnership.

Oh that is tricky. My favourite without a doubt was (and seemingly will always be) Mark Ramprakash. But even though I adored him I don't think he was the best dancer ever on SCD. I think that accolade goes to one of the girls, I am tempted to say Rachel S but that might be because I am remembering her best performances and have forgotten any iffy ones - plus there was Vincent.

I have been impressed by a few dancers over the years,but I was enchanted by Chelsee Healey.

Its a tie between Alesha Dixon and Kara Tointon....

Subjectively speaking , my favorite female dancers are 1-Abbey, 2-Alesha ,3- Chelsee 4-Kara.... but yeah if I have to say it objectively it is Alesha & Kara without a doubt

I find Jill a bit overrated .

And Natalie was a great dancer but her potential wasn't explored to its full potential IMO.

Objectively speaking, It's either DVO or Natalie Gumede. I don't see how it's possible to have anyone else. They were levels above any other dancer I've seen.

Rachel Stevens / Kara / Natalie G / and now Pixie. All exciting to watch with stand - out dances. With Vincent, Artem and Trent as partners, no wonder !

Female - Jill Halfpenny.

Her jive, which she performed in week three and was described as a "masterclass" by Bruno (with every step being there) and "brilliant" by Len, remains my favourite dance. She got 40 for this in the final and for me the week three performance was just as good. IMO this would have been marked even higher had it not been week three and had it not been the second series of the show. The programme was still in its infancy at the time.

Male - Mark Ramprakash.

His Argentine tango will live just as long in the memory as the aforementioned jive. When you consider that not all the winning men could be described as the best dancer throughout the series (Darren Gough, Chris Hollins and, especially, Tom Chambers come to mind), this is something which cannot be said of Mark Ramprakash. My girlfriend still loves his hip movements in his very first dance, the cha cha cha.

Denise Lewis for me as she came from a non showbiz world and was a beautiful dancer.

Jill Halfpenny's latin hasn't been equalled. Her jive gets all the attention but her samba, cha-cha & paso were equally as good.
Best ballroom probably Kara.
However my overall favourite was Alesha.

Kara Tointon and Natalie Gumede for me. Kara was a joy to watch - beautiful, graceful and the blossoming relationship with Artem brought about such chemistry. Just fabulous. Natalie had a fantastic dance face - I LOVED it (even though many didn't), she was amazing and I felt she was robbed of the glitter ball.
