In your opinion, who has been the best celebrity dancer

Best female - Kara. Like an enchanting little fairy. 
Best male - Colin Jackson. No performance background whatsoever - and just how good could he have been compared with male celebs nowadays who are being tutored for something like a month longer than Colin was.

Kara for me combined every element, beautiful face, beautiful movement, expressive, dynamic, exciting, equally good in both disciplines, and almost tantamount to a ballerina, especially in the Viennese Waltz. She was almost embarrassingly good. Other ladies like Alesha, Jill, Rachel et al have all been marvelous but for me, just miss one or two of the elements.
Men? I think looking back over the whole shebang, I'm going to have to go with Mark as a non performer somebody who just made an amazing leap from not speaking a word in the first week to taking charge with Bruce on the salsa meltdown, and then to confidently performing that fabulous AT and being so emotional in the Tesspit afterwards. He's still unparallelled for me in male latin, and when you watch back Karen's routines, for the most part, you just see how good her choreo is, how good they are together, and how you didn't need any effects or props to create magic, it was just the two of them on the floor. For me, definitely the most memorable SCD couple.

But do you think Mark was the best dancer? I'd agree with everything you say about him, and as a couple with Karen, and that stunning AT (vies with Austin's jive for best ever Strictly moment for me.
) but his ballroom never quite got there for me. His top line never looked right. Great days though.

I suppose on who was the 'best' dancer for me is hard because there's been other men much better in a technical sense who didn't grab me. And if Austin had had the chance to do an AT and beyond, I would probably put his name instead.
Alesha and Ramps because they were a delight to watch dance and never disappointed.
I've enjoyed watching other celebs and there have been some mind blowing performances, but none come close to Alesha and Ramps for evoking emotion week after week.

I'm no dancer, and even after all these years of watching Strictly I'm not entirely sure what a chassé cape is, although I think I can identify a fleckerl...
My point is that 'best dancer' will mean something different to a trained dancer than it would to this couch potato. Natalie Gumede and Denise Van Outen have probably been the best celebrities technically, but I was most moved by the dancing of Kara Tointon so, for me, she has been the best dancer. So many wonderful dances and although she excelled in ballroom, that rumba is still my absolute favourite Strictly dance EVAH!
