Surely, a decent way to tackle someone who is being rude would be to pull them up specifically on the way they speak to people, rather than simply launching off on a tangent of mocking minor grammatical errors that had no bearing on how understandable the post was. I appreciate that the first responder to the thread genuinely misunderstood part of the opening post, but yourself and your fellow "social service" performer were simply nitpicking at irrelevent issues because you just dearly wanted to find something to mock the OP for.
I'm not sure what service is being fulfilled here, other than looking down on people (not just the OP) who possibly don't possess perfect grammatical skills, losing any right you had to be offended by rudeness in the first place.
So, no, you don't need to spoon-feed anyone English grammar. As for common courtesy, there is more than one person in this thread who could do with some classes on that particular subject.
