Since when does the male domination is so strong on X Factor ?

Maybe I never noticed that before in previous season but it seems we're destined for a male winner again this season. No female singers left could stand a chance against them.

Its always been the case, the Female Solo Finalists have been

2011: Amelia Lily
2010: Rebecca Ferguson & Cher Lloyd
2009: Stacey Solomon
2008: Alexandra Burke
2007: None
2006: Leona Lewis
2005: None
2004: None

In the first ten series there have been 29 Finalists and if you include the Girls Category and Females in the Over's category they have only provided 7 Finalists...kind of weird when its broken down.

There was also a lot of questions of the producers protecting Cher so she got to the 2010 Final and if it wasn't for Frankie Cocozza being a naughty boy in 2011 Amelia Lily wouldn't have come back after being eliminated in week one.

Only 5 made it to the final without any real controversy

I hope there will be an all-female final 3 for the first time ever soon... and for them all to be diverse/versatile acts.

I think it would be a shame if Fleur or Lauren were not in the final (hopefully it is Final 4)

Yeah, it never happened on X Factor where we have all female finale ..

I hope both of them are going strong ..

It would be better for the show if both Fleur and Lauren reached the final. They would lose a lot of viewers with an all male final.

2011 was the only series dominated by females. The top 5 was Little Mix, Marcus, Amelia, Janet and Misha. Even Marcus wasn't the manliest of men.

Marcus is openly gay so yes, I think 2011 was my favorite serie ever just because they manage to discover a lot of female talents which is rare for other seasons.

The girls category is usually over rated anyway.

Every year we are told how strong the category is but it's not true. There is usually two average girls and one 'star' who is over hyped. I think it's Lauren this year, Tamara last year and in a way Ella the year before because although she was talented she wasn't as great as they made out and just slowed down fast songs every week.

I mentioned at the start of this series that it seemed they were picking a cast for a male winner this season.

Only one of the girls will be in the final and I do think that there will be a male winner
