Fed up of his brainwashing propaganda fed to sheep who are daft enough to buy into something he has manufactured, a product that has no prestige. Plastic in every way.”
Anyone entering the X Factor or any other contest will be well aware of the possibility of being "exploited or manipulated" - I don't think Ella Henderson, Leona Lewis, Olly Murs or dozens of other successful winners/runners up/finalists have let that come in their way. One or two might have regrets, but I'm sure most will have no regrets about taking their opportunity at fame and fortune.
How has he ruined Saturday night tv? 1 programme on 1 channel lasting 2 hours? Maybe we should all be watching heavy going documentaries or more "wholesome" (funny - the costumes seemed to be getting skimpier by the year - but that's not manipulation.....) stuff like Strictly. There's plenty of other choice and an OFF button if you don't like it.
Do you think pop stars and groups were NEVER manufactured before the arrival of Simon Cowell? Grant you it's slicker and quicker nowadays, but Stock Aitken and Waterman (ooh wait a minute, didn't they once manage Kylie who - err.. is a judge on a talent show? Ooh the irony) did it in the 1980s, plenty of others have - and deary me even Auntie BBC who churned out Top Of The Pops where the vast majority of acts mimed their performances - heck even their Producer Robin Nash had a say in what acts should wear on stage - wonder why The Clash refused to perform on the show?
Simon Cowell may not be innocent, but he isn't the first - and he won't be the last.
