Not sure if this is going to help him really. http://tellymix.co.uk/reality-tv/the...d-weekend.html

Not sure how saying he's humble, and then praising his mentor will backfire on him?

There was nothing whatsoever wrong with anything he said. I think it's a case of, pick on Paul week tbh. It will be someone elses turn this week. The media needs to leave the contestants alone, and just let them get on with what they are there to do.

Hope you're right, and they leave Paul alone this week. In fact, I hope they leave everyone alone this week and concentrate on getting great performances out of every act. Can't see it happening of course, but I can dream.

I expect more negative stuff will be planted, trouble is some folk will be influenced by it.

Look at the headline saying he hit back, really? He said nothing negative, quite the reverse.

Sadly the writing is on the wall, he isn't the cute looking, easily manipulated type that Cowell likes to sign.

I hope you're wrong as Paul has been my favourite from the very beginning, unfortunately, I fear you may well be right

Wow. I'm not a fan of Paul at all, but there is literally no part of that article in which he hit out at anyone. Anyone who reads after the headline can tell that easily.

Wow. He really doesn't need to be signed by Simon Cowell. Clearly, he'll get nowhere.

I like it when he talked back to the judge, at least it shows he's not timid/boring type of person.

This is getting ridiculous he hardly spoke back he just said he felt that was unfair and I agree with him loads have complained About their song choice, to be honest if they do manage to get him out he will probably do better, they know they can't mold him into the artist they want as he knows exactly what type of artist he is and won't give up. He has by far the best voice

I agree with everything you say, Stick to your guns Paul I say, he will be around a lot longer than a majority of the others. You only have to hear him sing, you can hear the passion. Best vocalist in the competition this year, also one of the best, over the past few years

Simon Cowell has been bleating on for weeks about wanting Paul to show his personality. Well, I'd say he did that on Saturday when he calmly and politely said 'I don't think it's fair,' and I for one liked it. Simon is going to look an utter fool if he makes out there's a problem with Paul saying that. After all, Paul was completely justified, and it's not as if he threw a tantrum.

I personally don't believe he is doing any favors for himself... They will just want him out more and they will continue to do everything they can to make that happen...say what you want, what the judges does affect how to people vote and if the judges continue this treatment, it will catch up to him sooner rather than later...vocalizing against the judges will just provoke them more...

Vocalizing against the judges? Simon said something negative about him as a person - a comment nothing to do with his singing - Dermot asked his opinion, and he gave it. That is all. He didn't say anything out of order, or negative about Simon. He was polite and respectful in his response, something Simon wasn't with his original comment.

You say "the judges treatment will catch up to him" like he controls what the judges do. If the judges are treating him unfairly, that's not his fault. So I don't see how he isn't "doing himself any favours" as you worded it.

You clearly misunderstand what I mean...if the judges are saying bad things about him..I say let them..it makes themselves look bad and no one else, but the minute you say anything, even anything against the judges, you are gonna provoke them....I'm not saying Simon is right or paul was wrong, by no means at all...im just saying it probably wasn't the smartest thing to do...now you made Simon more angry at you...

Feel sorry for Paul. He has probably done nothing wrong other than his face doesn't fit.

He is not adapting to the conditioning at all, by the looks of it.

Sing well, don't react and the public will decide.

I hope he goes as far as he can even with Scowell's negative propaganda.

I hope Simon loses all his acts ASAP...and then I'll laugh.....but it won't happen...

Trouble was. ..Paul sang the song anyway and sang it well. Despite his dislike of song choice, he was able to use it to his advantage. ..and the outcome was it got him through till next week! !! Downside now that, Simon Cowell could be his potential boss. ..and he don't want to be rubbing him up the wrong way at all

I've said it before but I really think Paul would have been better off by taking up the offer made ot him by Bluey from Incognito to work with him.

Last year, Bluey posted on FB
Quote:
“ Tonight I saw a shy young man on X factor named Paul Akister. He had a wonderful voice, so I carried on watching as Louis Walsh dismissed him in favour of other singers that he thought would be better pop stars, and he may be right. But there are other avenues available to those who have great voices, and if anyone out there knows Paul Akister, I’d like to offer him my services as a songwriter/producer. For all I know someone with ears at a record company may have contacted him already. If not, and you happen to know him, please point him my way. Peace… Bluey”

He then added an update which seemed to imply he'd made contact
Quote:
“
Thank you all for your support of Paul and some of you for your kind comments regarding Incognito. Paul May be contracted by the show for possibly a year. He is welcome to my offer now or when he sees it fit. Glad to see folks so passionate about a good voice. I personally also like his polite demeanor and see his mild manner as a strength and not a weakness!”

I just think that this route would suit Paul far much better and he'd be getting to work with someone who is an absolute legend in the genre that Paul loves. He may not get to be a number one selling pop star but to get to work with and tour with an iconic soul band like Incognito would be the stuff that dreams are made of for him

He has collaborated with DubRocca (who I admit I ahd never heard of )

I happened to be on the Radio 1 website and noticed a list of played on Radio 1 Xtra.

https://www.facebook.com/DubRocca/po...2?stream_ref=5

I imagine that it i hasn't been released yet due to him being in X Factor

He needs to grow a backbone and take negative comments just like everyone else ! If he wants to be a singer he needs to have thick skin and willing to take the good with the bad, sorry don't think he is cut our for it
