He's not on the tour yet, no. But whether he makes the tour or not he will still be under contract until after the tour finishes, it's just how the contracts are timed. When they audition they basically sell themselves to XF for a year.

OTY aren't going to trouble the top spots. There'll make the tour but then they'll be expendable and as soon as they hit the bottom 2 they'll be out.

Fleur on the other hand... I don't see what other people on here see in her (which seems to be OMG SHE'S AMAZING SHE CAN DANCE A BIT) but I have a feeling she *could* do an Alexandra and suddenly become a real contender if she can suddenly pull off a stand-out vocal performance. I think she's destined to finish fourth, in all honesty.

I'd like to see Only The Young get further - but then I could see them in the bottom two a few more times, possibly with SK one week.

Yeah Fleur needs to do an Alexandra Burke/Cher Lloyd and have a week with just a great vocal performance. I do agree she'll come 4th - but Fleur is the star of the show this year after the series.

Rather than forcing him to do an entertaining routine so soon (same goes for other contestants that have never done this before) I would rather that Mel B and Brian Freedman helped him with this hand movements and walking and looking at the camera not 'kick this cage door over whilst a female puts her hand on you' lol

I wouldn't say Paul is stocky at all, not now he has shed all that weight, infact he is a lot slimmer than he looks on tv, don't forget the camera puts 10lb on you and that is a known fact. And comparing him to Craig Coulton, Jeeeez no, Paul is world class compared to Craig.
And remember James Arthur?? He stood there a sang, when did he put out a spectacular performance dance wise? Never, but he still won.
This year is so different with Simon and Cheryl, she is the one that wants the dancing and it looks like Sir Simon is bowing down to her.. How many male acts have we actually seen that did much choreography?? Olly Murs is one, I cant even think of another, so why do they want them bopping around the stage this year? I think most blokes look stupid dancing anyway lol

Paul is favorite to be eliminated this weekend with paddy power 😩 he is a great singer and Simons comments and his vt last weekend have done him damage, I will be throwing a few extra votes his way.

Do you already vote in the hurt and heal thread on here? If not - Paul could do with your vote in there as the Only the Young fans have clubbed together to target him as the next evictee Us Paul fans could do with the support?

The impression I get from Paul and the local radio team that know him is that they are aware of all the crap etc but just want him t be himself. I feel like ringing them myself and having achat half of the time - but either they have something up their sleeve for all eventualities or they are just going with the flow - I haven't worked that out yet lol

What can they do about it???...pretty much nothing anyways...

Oh I don't know - if a local radio station that seems to be able to get a lot of support for someone like Paul they can probably do quite a bit. They are encouraging people to vote for him and are a source for the Vote for Paul Posters and t-shirts etc

He may be the favourite to go but he is in my top 2 and he doesnt deserve to go so this weekend will be voting for him.

I agree and Simon's comments were edging on disgraceful. They give the wrong songs to eliminate contestants they want to go. That is all it takes, a few wrong song choices and they are out. Also why make someone sing something that is not who they are.

That's just one city...

I am not sure but are the finalists contracted to Syco for a year. Maybe wrong and hope he gets a contract with anyone except Syco.

know what you mean but we have already discussed this on here. Paul is screwed for a year but after that - who knows! Or maybe even Simon doesn't give a shit and let's him go - ok wishful thinking but hey - in honesty that would be the best outcome for him!

No no it's not a year after the show finishes. It's something around a year from when they audition. I don't know how it works exactly, whether they sign a contract that covers all eventualities at audition, or whether when they get to, say judges houses, they have to sign a new one.

However they go about it in terms of the legalities, Paul will be under the terms of the contract until after the tour finishes (which is around March/April IIRC) - approximately a year after the auditions started.

Paul is nothing like Craig Colton vocally. Craig had a more folky style of voice with a hint of rasp and occasionally snarly. Paul's voice is warmer, more soulful, more melifluous.

I can't really remember Paije very well, other than he was of course the subject of Louis' infamous comment. He was more theatrical, I know that.

Fleur the star of the series after the show? Far too early to tell but I doubt it.
