Got it on my Nexus 10 this morning. It seems to be running just as normal so far, no noticeable increase or decrease in performance.

I use the Google Now Launcher, but you can also switch back to the standard launcher which feels more like 'classic' Android. This may not be possible on the Nexus 5 and Nexus 9.

Not got anything yet on my Nexus 7 2013 and I was getting impatient so I just did a manual update.

I'm definitely not warming to it; but at least having reverted the keyboard to Holo Dark it doesn't now feel quite as clunky. The stock material white keyboard is possibly the worst keyboard I've ever seen. It truly is a lousy layout.

The revised task manager looks truly terrible. There is a definite delay in everything in the UI - thankfully no major issues on games.

Honestly, it feels like a nasty skin on top of kitkat, with a slight performance hit.

(I only ever do the updates on devices so that I have something to complain about)

Nothing yet on my N4 but I do like the newly updated Calendar app which has the Lollipop look.

I haven't received Android 5.0 on my Nexus 7 2013 WiFi, but some users elsewhere in the world have and it may be wise not to update according to this article as apparently the Nexus 7 2013 is having video playback issues post Lollipop update. This is worrying as there seems to be no solution to the problem at present.

Android 5.0 Lollipop has arrived on my Nexus 7 2013 WiFi. It's available to download.

However i'm going to hold off from downloading for a couple of days until i see what user reaction is like first.

For everyone else, good luck!

I'm doing the same as you.

I'll see what the reviews on the 2013 are like before downloading.

Has the Android 5.0 Lollipop update been pulled?

I received the notification last night but i didn't update. I checked my tablet today and the notification is no longer there. When i refreshed System Updates nothing happens. It must be pulled. I wonder why this has happened? Anyone else in the same boat?

For those wanting Android 5.0 on their 3G/LTE Nexus 7 device, some good news:

http://www.theinquirer.net/inquirer/...ts-in-december

Quote:
“An Asus spokesperson confirmed in a statement sent to The INQUIRER: "The Android 5.0 Lollipop roll-out for Nexus 7 WiFi-only devices worldwide has begun. The update will roll out for Nexus 7 LTE/3G models around the beginning of December 2014."”

Got Lollipop at 22:50 last night. Installed OK and all good news so far.

I can confirm that BBC iPlayer downloads are now working fine al though I suspect they are either using a lesser quality stream that usual or perhaps just with the programme I just downloaded.

No problems to report.

Got it last night on my 2012 Nexus 7 . It was barely ticking along before the update sluggish and unresponsive and the update hasn't made it any better . Thankfully the 2013 Nexus is still snappy though hasn't had the update yet .

My inital response was "yuck, what have they done?". I suppose I'll have to get used to it.

I updated my 2012 Nexus 7 two days ago and not only is it incredibly slow, but more worrying it has actually crashed twice which is more than it had done in the previous two years. I'd hold off updating for a while at least.

Still no update on my Nexus 7(2012) or my Nexus 4.
Some of the Google apps have updated though over the last week or so.
Thanks for the advice Montyburns56. For I don't want my Nexus 7 to crash like it did when 4.0 first came out and I had to end up doing a factory reset.

My wife's 2012 nexus has ground to halt with it. She blames me because I talked her into it because I wanted to play with 5.0. You can actually count the seconds between touching the browser icon and anything happening to the point you think your touch didn't register. Then it's more time before you can use it. Even swiping it off standby takes a time. The email client is slow too. She has demanded I put it back the way it was.

At least that flappy bird game built in worked okay. Flappy Android.

I'll be interested to see what happens when it's downloaded onto a 2013 Nexus 7 - certainly what I've read so far, does not fill me with confidence.

I downloaded lollipop on Monday 17th and wished I had held off as I can no longer get $kygo ,ITV player or MX player to work these are my main gripes the others I guess I will have to get use to but the loss of the players is a big no no,as yet I have not suffered from crashes or the system slowing down..

Got it 2 days ago on my N4, nothing for my mrs N4 yet.

Some very big changes that are going to take to get used to. Battery life is MASSIVILY better, at least 50% for me. And it tells you how long to full charge and battery app gives much more info.
