Mobile Broadband - Best deal?
cooler

Now Three are ending unlimited tethering on the One Plan, im moving back to mobile broadband. I've already got a dongle, so I only need a sim only plan.

Is Three's 15GB/month for £19.99/month the best mobile broadband deal?

There are several 15GB/month mobile broadband plans listed on Three's website, but for some reason the prices vary even though each plan says it's based on a 24 month contract.

I am also interested to know. I heard EE are offering a 20gb plan and O2. Can't find either yet.
Three are going to loose a huge market share because of this move.

Unfortunatly, it seems that Three are the only viable option unless you don't get a good signal with Three.

EE and o2 are way too expensive. It costs £27.99/month just for 10GB data on EE. It costs £15/month for 3GB on o2.

EE's current Pay Monthly mobile broadband prices are

£5 - 500MB (1 Month only)
£10 - 1GB
£15 - 3GB
£20 - 15GB
£30 - 25GB
£50 - 50GB (24 Months only)

This is half tempting. 25gb per month @ 4G speeds.

EE's 15GB plan for £20/month seems to be the best mobile broadband deal as it's based on a 30 day rolling contract. To get 15GB for £20/month on Three, you have to commit to a 24 month contract.

Plus EE support told me they have a cap on data allowances, so you can't go over your data allowances.

You can get 15GB for £16 on Three I think, it might not be listed on the website but I know people that have bought it for that.

Correct. On EE's phone (voice & data) and data only SIMs you can't go over your allowance. It just stops when you run out. All web requests cause an EE page to appear which offers you more data for different prices - or you can wait until the month rolls round.

I have a 5GB sim in my iPad. I used to have a Three contract for 1GB of data, and one month I used 3GB, and was shocked by the bill. It wasn't cheap to go over :-/

Do you think that deal is only for existing customers if it's not on the website?

Before I joined the One Plan, I was paying £16.54/month for the 15GB mobile broadband plan on Three.

I guess the prices have rised for 4G?

Very tempted by EE 15gb and 25gb sim only packages.

I'm confused - are these 15 and 25gb sims for data usage only?
I want 15gb with voice and data included.

Are you an existing Three customer?

I chatted to Three on their online support and asked them how much the 15GB/month mobile broadband plan is. They told me-

Quote:
“You can view the online deals on this link, however as a privileged existing customer, we have a dedicated team who can help you get special deals.”

I don't know if the discount applies to existing mobile broadband customers only or any existing three customer. I'll see what Three offer before I consider EE mobile broadband then.

You'll have to call them, or look at the prices including a phone handset. 10GB is the top end on the VOICE SIM only plan as far I can tell.
