I can't see Steve in the dance off if he's taken his top off.

Are these predictions based on evidence, or are they wishful thinking?

I don't know about others - but I based mine on a combination of dance ability with the pantomime story of the competition. You know:

- to make the competition look more even,

- to make people worried for their favourites,

- to make people feel that some people have been over marked or over praised,

- to make people feel that other people have been under marked or unfairly criticised,

- to make people think that certain couples are safe so that the're more likely to wind up in the bottom two,

- to lower the average scores so that they have more scope to raise them again later in the run,

- to provide drama and a set up for a 'journey' for various contestants (they need lows as well as highs).

That sort of thing.

This is the point in the competition where the runts of the bunch become painfully obvious. I feel as though they've given everybody bar Alison and Judy a dance that they can really pull off this week in a bid to rid of one of the two said ladies and I can see some very high scores all around emerging.

As a result of being mid-table I see Simon finding himself in the dance off along with either Alison or Judy (probably the former).
