I remember the other week that Alfie was desperate for a place to stay, and was badgering an estate agent about the house on the square. Alfie then broke in with help from his friend (does he even have a key?) and the Slaters promptly moved in and settled in.

Are they still effectively squatting there? Has the agent not checked the house recently? I know Alfie was able to get one night in a house somewhere? Bit confused, maybe I missed an episode.

Alfie refused the Council off of a b+b because it was only for one night and too far away. Completely missing the point that if he'd managed to get copies of his ID to take back the next day (and he would have been able to, they onlly take a couple of hours to do and cost a tenner and he obviously had a tenner because he gave his mate money) they'd probably have extended it or sorted something more longterm out.

Instead he decided to get his locksmith mate to break in and I assume he chaged the locks. So yes, they're squatting and you'd think that would be found out as soon as the estate Agent had to do another viewing. Also, what about utilities? Water, Gas, electricity - either they aren'( connected which Kat would find a little odd (and they wouldn't be able to look after the kids) or the bills are going to the estate agents so that would be noticed as they'll go up.

None of it makes sense for alfie to be able to keep Kat in the dark about it.

Yes they're still squatting there. Its number 43 Albert Square next door to the Beales and owned by Janine. The previous tenants were Jake and Sadie.

And notice how many taxis Alfie used recently - not just when he had the twins with him. Plus he had cash to pay his dodgy mate to break in but not to get a copies of the twins birth certificates.

Your bill doesn't need to be to receive incoming calls

Alfie told his mate Dave that he had lost the keys and asked him, paid him to change the locks and he and his family are squatting there now but next week they get kicked out and end up kipping on Dean's floor and Donna comes up with a solution.

I have no idea where the money is coming from though, maybe Mo is making a killing on the stall!

Some do. When I missed a payment the other month my service was suspended completely - no outgoing (except 999 I believe - didn't test it) or incoming calls. In fact I only found out it had happened because my Dad was getting number unobtainable.

It depends on the terms of your contract. Pay as you gos keep receiving incoming I believe.

But we know alfie's phone was working 2 weeks ago because he kept calling the insurance company.

I'd imagine re kat and stacey's drinks next week that somebody offers to pay for them because they are pleased to see Kat out. That is believable and fair enough in the circumstances - people would want to buy her a drink after what she's been through.

I think it does very much depend on who your supplier is. Mine was literally the day after the payment was due (I just forgot about it due to having a lot on my plate) but to be fair, service was reinstated within minutes of me ringing their customer services and paying it on a card.

We simply don't know what has happened. None of them have featured in the last 7 episodes. The story was just dropped after a week of them. I guess we'll find out when they pick the story up again.

I don't know if this is the same situation as being cut off, but whenever I've had upgrades and switched my number to a different network, I'm only able to use emergency calls and couldn't receive any texts or phone calls until the network process had finished.

I agree!

Kat's been through so much lately and people will want to support her and help her back into the community and that's good because she's going to need people on her side. Shame she doesn't know about Alfie starting the fire because she and Stacey are going to need each other.
