Sure you may of read on digital spy about 9 people have complained about the latest edition about the dead people soul can still feel what they're other body feels.

It actually mentions that the BBC show and Peter playing the doctor clearly said this is wrong a lie. It also states that the doctor was right this was indeed a lie.

Will is that true I can't remember a part where the doctor proved it was a lie.

Been a while since Doctor Who caused controversy! Like old times!

He called it as rubbish, a scam and that the chap who suggested it was an idiot. Twice. Assume all will be explained in the next part.

Ofcom? Really? Oh my giddy Aunt.

Wow, some people just don't get the concept of science fiction do they?! I find it more bizarre that Ofcom would even think there's anything to investigate here, if indeed they actually do.

I wonder how many complaints stuff like Torchwood: Children of Earth (or indeed some of the episodes of the preceding series) got by contrast (as surely that was much more "offensive" than anything Doctor Who has ever done)?

Some folk really need to get out more!

9 people. Out of 5.2 MILLION who watched on the night.

Wow. That's all I'm going to say.

Honestly would expect people to have better things to do. Can understand if someone found it a little sensitive if recently bereaved. But that is not a reason to complain.

It was clear by the end of the episode that it's all a lie. If these people had brains and actually understood the episode then they would know this.

I think most if not all of us have or will have at some point see something on TV or somewhere that hits home a little to much but that is just life.

A few years ago my brother was in hospital for 5 months with a brain tumour and had to have many brain surgeries and I stayed at that hospital 24/7 even slept on a chair next to his bed.

Anyway when we got home I was told to do something for me to take my mind off it so I went to the cinema to watch Saw 3 as I loved the first 2 and in that there is DIY brain surgery scenes and yes it upset me but I can't blame the film.

9 complaints? Hardly going to get the show scrapped is it? Start worrying when it's 9,000!

Wow, that's more than Top Gear.

Moffat will be on his final warning

How is he now, if you don't mind me asking? I agree it's not the film's fault though!

Complaints are always a sign that they're doing Doctor Who right. It's a family show yes, but it's not supposed to be fluffy.

As said though you can upset anyone

People were making jokes about it the other day saying sooner or later you will only be able to show pictures of babies and kittens but that could upset someone a picture of a baby to someone who has just had a baby die or can not have one can upset them a picture of a kitten to someone who has had one die or run away may upset them.

Why doea anyone pay any attention to 9 complaints or as in the case of Top Gear 2 complaints and in that case only 1 of the complainants had even watched the programme !

It took the Daily Mail a while, but they've finally got there - complaining about "childrens' show" Doctor Who. It really is an awful 'newspaper'...

Rag.

Still, might add a few of the curious to the viewing figures on Saturday. To compensate for the outraged hordes of 9 who complained.

Well, given it was the Mail on Sunday who stirred things up over Sachsgate after there was very little reaction initially, what's the betting this is another attempt to bash the BBC?

I see the Mail are claiming the BBC received 118 complaints about this week's Doctor Who story - rather more than the 9 submitted to Ofcom. I wonder how many of them actually watched the programme?

For those who don't know, there were originally only (I think) 2 or 3 complaints about the Sachsgate incident from people who actually heard the broadcast, but then a month later it appeared as a story in the newspaper and then several thousand more complained after deciding they were offended by what they'd read.

That's exactly right - a great many complaints frequently come from those who are
outraged by reports of something potentially offensive, rather those who have actually seen the apparently offensive material.
I first came across this sort of thing when Life Of Brian was released and a storm of protests came from the easily offended across the country, most of whom openly said they'd never even seen the film! The minds of these bigots are incredibly closed.

I think some people also complained that some dogs were used on Strictly this week, says it all really.

Admittedly I don't watch the show but I can only assume that a spot of ballroom dancing does no harm to our four legged friends.

Or perhaps having not seen the show I should be offended and complain too...
