I can't see my new plan yet (it changes in 4 days - should I be worried?). I don't think I got the 2,000 minutes Three to Three and don't know if I can be bothered to ask as I won't use the 600 minutes I get anyway.

Sorry, what tariff are you currently on which Three want to remove you from? The One plan? Or another one?
I have been offered the same £30 deal as everyone. |

I'm an original One Plan customer and thinking I had slipped under the radar I received the letter today.
£15 per month and they suggest I relax, sit back, and double it up to £30. Hmmm.. Not a heavy data user but, like others, appreciate the AYCE data as a safety net and find it reassuring to have it there if needed. I do have a separate mobile broadband EE MiFi unit for data but like the redundancy the One Plan tethering option gives when travelling. Three supplied me with a Home Signal femtocell years ago as the "thick walls" of my house blocked their service. I'd hoped 4G Super Voice 800 would alleviate this problem but it is prioritised lower than an occasional bar of 3G and is almost never available. All other networks are strong here.. Any pointers on the best SIM deals on networks with at least 6GB data - preferably not EE as I already have their MBB service - and will Three be willing to match them? |

The EE deal of £17.50 for a 12 month plan of Unlimited minutes plus Unlimited texts plus 16GB of data all of which can be tethered is another that is miles better value than any that Three are offering their loyal One Plan customers. |

Vodafone's cut priced Red Value 20GB deal looks pretty good at £20 for a 12 month plan with Unlimited minutes plus Unlimited texts plus 20GB of data all of which can be tethered plus Spotify or Netflix or Sky Sports. It's certainly the one to quote if you want to haggle & get a deal with Three.

£17.50 for the first three months, then double that!

ID Mobile. http://www.idmobile.co.uk/shop/plans/sim-only£12.50 per month SIMO for 500mins / 5000 texts and 6GB Data £15.00 per month SIMO for 2000 mins / 5000 texts and 6GB Data £20.00 per month SIMO for 2000 mins / 5000 texts and 10GB Data ID uses the Three network, and are all 30 day contracts on a Shockproof Tariff. You can't tether though. (Some say Tethering does work currently but you aren't supposed to) |

EE are a bit on the pricey side for their data (sneaky having the 3 month intro prince, than £35) and I wouldn't be happy having to pay double the price on Three (and be reduced to 12GB tetherable). I wouldn't go with ID Mobile, or in fact any mobile op, that doesn't allow tethering at all. If you have Wifi only devices that need connecting away from home (certainly away from a public wifi hotspot), you need tethering. If your broadband goes down all of a sudden, and you need to stay connected to the Internet, you need tethering. As for the O2 network, I don't know what O2's prices are like, Tesco don't offer a lot of data usually (most of their adverts have been for 500MB or 1GB) and Giffgaff is very low down the priority list, meaning that speed and reliability will suffer compared to O2 customers. You can get 6GB of 4G data for £18 per month (I think?) though - however even that is expensive compared to Voda's £20 deal (effectively £10 taking into account Spotify subscription etc). But make sure that you do take an EE SIM with you (like the MiFi) if you are travelling, as there are still places that Vodafone cannot cover with 3G/4G. Yes, they are improving all the time, but there are still quite a few 2G only masts that need the upgrade. |

The most appealing out of those looks to be the Vodafone £20 deal (for 12 months). Especially if it includes a Spotify sub as that effectively reduces the tariff down to £10 per month, for 20GB of data. All of which is tetherable.

I stream a lot of Internet radio in the car whilst driving around for work and also go camping and where as Vodafone would constantly drop out all the time with Internet radio and no 3G when camping Three would have usable 3G and never really drops out even on long journeys (dropped out once from Poole to Harlow for around 2 mins and also around 2mins again from Basildon to Norwich both times on the back roads). Also on a journey from Harlow to Nottingham a couple of months ago my friend was "trying" to stream on O2 in his car and it was cutting out every 10mins on the journey (and some of that was even in fairly built up areas. If you are going to spend most of your time in built up areas the Vodafone deal is blinding. |

I jumped before I was pushed...
Throughout my history with the One Plan my peak data usage was 2.5Gb in one month. So I have moved to the Unlimited Minutes, Texts and 4Gb Data for £14 per month which I am perfectly happy with. Feel At Home while missing the odd location also covers others that I visit, so all in a happy customer. |

Yes, they are improving all the time, but there are still quite a few 2G only masts that need the upgrade. But do watch it as once the 12 months are over you would be outwith your minimum term, you will probably cancel your contract with 30 days notice as the price you will have to pay if you stick with vodafone will shoot up to 40 quid per month. The free 12 months of your subscription with spotify would end as well, but the subscription with spotify it would carry on at 10 quid per month unless you cancel that. So that would be 50 quid per month for 20GB of data plus spotify subscription after 12 months with vodafone instead of just 20 quid for the first 12 months. A sudden whopping 250% price increase. You won’t want to pay 600 quid per year for a vodafone sim only contract and spotify subscription starting from February/March next year. |

The Vodafone deal is a very good one although I was with Vodafone for several years (up to around 3 years ago) and it's good in built up areas, but a lot of the time in more rural areas you are down to Edge at best.

I had a chat at Vodafone about this deal, the issue will be that it jumps back to £40 after 12 months, so you will need to remember that.
It’s a lot of money to pay in the long run. If you pay 20 quid per month for a sim only 20GB of 4G data contract and it includes a free spotify subscription for a whole year (normally 10 quid per month) then it’s marvellous value for money, but when the sim only contract is suddenly back at its normal price and spotify is no longer included in the price it’s suddenly not good value for money any more. In fact it’s extortionate. |

I'm going to cancel my plan when the year is up to get whatever deal is offered then. That's the advantage of SIM only plans.
I pay £30, but my discount should continue. However, the Spotify deal won't. |

Has anyone who took the Vodaphone deal had their cashback track from Top Cashback?

Three customer services told me that Voda's £20 deal throttles the data speeds after 6GB has been used and it would take "days" for a download to complete. I thanked him for his advice as I got my PAC code. Looking forward to saving 12 months payments to Netflix that will be £72 in my pocket, thanks. |

Such rubbish from Three. Vodafone don't ever throttle unless it's a serious emergency.

Hi, I've just signed up mainly to voice my frustrations with this.
I received the letter a few weeks back, after reading the replies here I rang three on the 16th to see what they could offer me. Given what people have been offered here and on various other forums I set out to try and get 600mins AYCE data and text for £20. I was paying £14 for my one plan. Three could only offer me the 200 min plan, so i requested my PAC. I've had numerous further phonecalls and emails and they won't budge from the 200 mins for £20. They even teased me this morning giving me the "Exclusive deal" line only to come back with £18 for 8gb Data, Unltd mins and texts. I really need to stay with Three as they are good in my area and I use 10-20gb data per month, but I'm at the end of my tether with this. Why are deals on the table for some but not others??? Cheers |

I wonder if I've been stitched up by Three. Looking now on the My3 site and it shows my allowance (starts tomorrow) as unlimited data, unlimited texts, unlimited minutes.
If so, that would imply my change to the 600 minute plan at £20 isn't happening and I'm changing to the top plan as set on my letter, as if I didn't spend ages on the phone. I have a reference number that was texted following my call, but don't have time to call up today and check. Nor do I really have time to waste on the phone at any time! I hope other people who secured discounts actually get their new deals at the start of the next billing cycle... |
