After agreeing to the £20 for AYCE data/mins/SMS I received a letter in the post thanking me for upgrading which clearly shows the plan at £29 a month with an ongoing discount of £9 a month. I take it you didn't receive a letter Jon? My account also shows the new plan which is due to start on the 2nd of March.

I didn't get a letter. Just a reference number by text and the usual text survey you get these days.

You’ll need to hurry as you will need to agree to the contract with vodafone by 3rd March to get it at that price for 12 months, then the price will go back up to 40 quid per month for a new contract for 20GB of 4G data.
But do watch it as once the 12 months are over you would be outwith your minimum term, you will probably cancel your contract with 30 days notice as the price you will have to pay if you stick with vodafone will shoot up to 40 quid per month. The free 12 months of your subscription with spotify would end as well, but the subscription with spotify it would carry on at 10 quid per month unless you cancel that. So that would be 50 quid per month for 20GB of data plus spotify subscription after 12 months with vodafone instead of just 20 quid for the first 12 months. A sudden whopping 250% price increase. You won’t want to pay 600 quid per year for a vodafone sim only contract and spotify subscription starting from February/March next year. Ouch, that's a steep hike afterwards, normally they just keep the price and out you onto a 1 month rolling until you switch? I'm going to keep an eye on things, because if Virgin becomes even worse than it is, I'm switching to the best network for 3G/4G. And once these old 2G sites are done. Vodafone would have the upper hand, due to 3G900 and widespread 4G800. Speaking of, I need to test my TV again in case Vodafone 4G800 has wiped out anything... |

Not only am I now seemingly on the wrong tariff (AYCE everything) but my Three app is saying I just have 4GB of tethering....?
What is going on? |

Everyone best check their personal hotspot allowance in case Three has decided to only give 4GB to people who negotiated. Would be something most people wouldn't even realise could vary.
I'll check again in the morning in case it's just a glitch as systems update. Then I'll be on the phone later in the day... |

Under where it it provides the summary of your current plan there is an options for ">More details". Select this and popup should appear showing details of your what your plan includes per month . On mine it shows "All-you-can-eat data" as the "Inclusive UK Data" and lower down it states "On our All-you-can-eat data plans, you can use up to 12GB of your data each month to create a Personal Hotspot within the UK." Take screen caps of this info if it's different to your allowance screen and raise a formal complaint. |

The more details box does say 12GB.
I am now even more confused as it shows my allowance for this month (everything now unlimited and 4096MB of Personal Hotspot data) but says the new monthly allowance starts in 0 days? Something very odd going on. I need to call up obviously but haven't got time now, so this may have to wait until tomorrow by which time maybe the site will have sorted itself out. What I can't see is what I am being charged for this new plan. If I go to my bills, it comes up with an error saying "Sorry there is a problem, we are working on this.". Boy does this suck Three! EDIT: Just seen my upcoming bill.. £30.91 - so, yup, they've stitched me up. |

If it says 12GB on the "plan you're on" on My3 I'd raise a complaint using "full screen" captures as proof of the plan Three offered which is different to what you new month allowance is showing. The "starts in 0 days" just means today is the first day of your new allowance cycle and AFAIK it's always shown this way. |

On the phone and being told that 4GB applies to my plan. And that they can offer less because I got a discount, so now they're seeing what I should be paying if I want the 12GB.
She's adamant that on the 600 minute plan I can only have 4GB anyway. |

I need to pay £4 a month for 12GB tethering. My negotiated deal was for 4GB only. She ignored the fact my plan guide shows 12GB and no mention ANYWHERE of there even being options for 4 or 8GB.
How many others are going to be stitched up like me? Also told I must wait until next month to change now, so this month sticks! Demanded to go through to customer relations.. What fun! What's extra mad is that they've put me on the AYCE everything plan anyway, as per the letter, as if I'd never spoken to them - yet put me on 4GB. So does everyone who does nothing go over to the £30 deal and only get 4GB tethering? |

Well my £20 AYCE/AYCE deal is showing correctly (with 12GB allowance) - both on the website and app. Shows as £29 with £9 recurring discount and that is what my last bill was.

It's totally screwed up. Three do believe that they can still select 4 or 8GB tethering limits on 12GB plans and above, and from what joeluken says it seems that may be true.
They increased the personal hotspot allowance from 4 to 8 to 12GB so who would ever want to accept less? I mean, where has anyone EVER stated that they were offered the ability to pay less per month by opting for less tethering? It wouldn't actually be so bad if they were offering discounts as not everyone wants it, but I see no evidence of them ever doing it! I obviously won't be the only one who ends up in this situation. |

In fact on ALL CURRENT PLANS with AYCE data shown in the online store 12GB tethering is offered and there is no option for less. Either it's a genuine mistake or Three have moved people on lower hotpot allowance plans hoping they don't notice. ![]() I wouldn't waste time with the general call centre staff just raise a formal complaint and discuss with UK based customer relations using the allowance shown in your My3 screen capture of the "plan you're on". |

If it says 12GB then that's the basis for you complaint as this section of My3 is providing you with written details of your current contracted plan and associated monthly entitlement. I get your complaint in early ! |

Here are screen captures (shows 4GB allowance, but that my plan is 12GB - but online they can see it's definitely 4GB). I've got to now wait for them to call me back and see what they can offer.
You can also see the post I put on Facebook, as I am sure they'll delete it pretty soon. ![]() https://www.dropbox.com/sh/lo8f8j9xt...T5FIIh-ia?dl=0 |

Once Three sort out the correct plan to reflect teh AYCE data inc 12GB as shown on the plan already, at the price you originally agreed, that will then apply from the start of your next billing cycle. |

It doesn't matter what they can see it matters what you can see it currently says on your My3 in the - "Contract status. Here you can find out which price plan you’re on and whether you’re eligible to upgrade." This shows 12GB and I assume you were not informed at the time you agreed the new plan that it only had a 4GB hotspot allowance. I'd also do full screen captures that show the date and time assuming these are shown on your system. |

Well, I have to wait now. But Three isn't admitting a mistake, even though my next bill is £30 and they have me down as having agreed to £20 for 600 minutes...
It's a big mess and boy is the **** going to hit the fan if it's happening to other people who agreed a discount but assumed that by having 12GB or AYCE data, they'd get 12GB tethering. I wonder if some of those who opted to go for 8GB data plans will also get 4GB? I doubt we've heard the end of this, whatever the outcome of my individual case. |

For anyone interested, here's what I got..
I was on One plan, £15 pm, AYCE data and 2000mins etc..then got the letter, now £30 I rang up a week ago, asked what they could offer me and the best they could do was AYCE data and 200 mins for £20pm or £25 for 600mins...they wouldn't budge so I asked for and got my pac code expecting them to ring me with a better offer....but after 3 days, no phone call. So, I went on the webchat thingy and again they wouldn't give me 600mins for the £20 deal which I would have been quite happy with. He said there was NO deal for AYCE data+600mins...that was £25. I knew they were talking porkies because lots of people here have had this offer AND better!. Hmmm, so I thought I would email a complaint about the advisor not being honest with me and lo and behold, today I got a phone call from the Complaints dept and was immediately offered the £20 deal with unlimited data, unlimited minutes, unlimited texts on a 12 month contract with 12gb tethering! Result! So my advice is, if you get no joy from CS, complain! |

Three isn't budging. Just had a call back saying they need to get the recording of my last call to check I hadn't agreed to the 4GB allowance.
If they can get it, and they're having trouble, then they can upgrade me to 12GB - but I still have to pay the £30 next month and they'll sort out a credit for next month. Likewise, I'll still have just 4GB tethering this month. So now I have to wait until Monday... I wonder if they'll find the call, given there was no mention of tethering.. or if there was it was very lightly whispered! |
