Just wondered if anyone has managed to get ayce everything for £20 recently ?

I tried today and they said no. That promo is no longer available. I called the number on the letter.

Do you need to request a pac and wait for them to call you or do you need to ask for a different department ?

The crazy thing is based on my usage an 8gb plan for £18 would cover things, so they would make £2 more a month out of me for just saying yes to ayce everything for £20 but it wouldn't cost them more based on my usage but for me it's piece of mind.

I get comments on my blog post from people who are still getting the £20 deal, so I'd say it's quite random.

I also fear some people will find out, like me, that they're getting a lower personal hotspot, or that they end up paying the full £30 rate anyway.

I do hope most people are okay.

Still available. I got deal my partner didn't.

She put in a complaint and took it up the chain at Three and they gave her it. She said it was descrimination against her.

I managed to get them down to the deal on a 12 month lock in, after a very very long phone call.
however ive had no written confirmation as yet.

Getting 12 months seems key. 30 days and you're on borrowed times for any other changes they may wish to force upon you.

I will be happy with the 12 month lock in, as i wouldnt/dont trust them to change anything if i was on a 1 month deal.
Also the market place will/could look very different in 12 months, the O2 deal will either be on or off, the new combined Three/O2 may have some new deals on which may or may not be of good value (from what i understand should the deal go ahead Hutch/Three will only be able to use the O2 nme/brand for a short while) There could be a few more MVNOs about with aggressive pricing/deals as a result of any merger, not to mention the potential unravelling of Cornerstone/MBNL and on top of that the BT/EE deal should have bedded in by then.
The next 12 months could see a few changes, and if you want stability then the only option would be a contract/minimum term agreement to see you through.

I'm of the opposite feeling on 30day/12mth. I would prefer to be on EE but they have no good deals at the moment (and treat sim only as a poor cousin of phone contacts). Therefore I don't want to be tied in for 12 months.

I cannot see Three risking any more imposed changes after this in the near term and this one was several years in the making in any case.

I put my work phone with Vodafone (£20/20GB deal) and accepted the 8GB/unl/unl 30 day from Three (£15). So I'm now spending (£3) less with Three.

Has anyone on a non One Plan legacy tariff had the letter yet?

I'm on 200 mins, 5000 texts, AYCE data, £12.90.

Three tell me that my tariff won't be changing but I've heard on forums of people on the same tariff being forced off it.

Yes, people on the £12.90 tariff have had letters. Including at least one person on here.

Hello guys,

I'm on the one sim only all you can eat data plan and I also received a letter, I called number on the letter in a hope I can negotiate 20Pounds AUCE deal for data and minutes but they said they cannot give it to me (despite I'm trying to save the data and use WIFI wherever possible, preload podcasts on wifi etc...).
So I requested for PAC a week ago, I received it via text and I was waiting for call from retention team, but nobody called. I was only unavailable for about 4 hours one day (I have not noticed the battery is out), but other than that I had no missed calls...

When did they call you? I have 2 weeks till my original contract expires...

There's a pretty good chance they won't call you, it seems to be a bit of a lottery if you actually get offered a discounted deal.

Oh no! BTW - how early after requesting PAC they tend to call? Any advice what to do next? Or are there really some good deals with other providers? At the end of the day I have PAC...

I haven't seen much to say they call people at all, most of the reports are people making multiple calls to Three, rather than Three calling them.

Have you considered the £20 Vodafone deal?

It's a bit of a lottery but finding a reason to raise a formal complaint may be your best bet of getting through to the UK customer relations team. There's no guarantee but that worked for me. But be careful and double check everything about the allowance and costs if you are offered a deal. Also make a note of the time, date and name of the person you are talking to.

To show how bad Three are I called a couple of days ago to check something about the new deal I'm on and used the number on the letter by mistake rather than 333. The immediate response was I was mistaken about the deal I was because they don't offer discounts. I asked the person to double check my plan and bill, She reluctantly went away and then confirmed what I'd said was correct and I had a discounted plan.

So the initial first line response appears to be "NO" to anything on price reduction even when its a done deal and already on your bill LOL.

Number ported to Vodafone today, F U Three!!

Seriously though Where I live and work (London and C London) I have already noticed a marked improvement in speed, service and I can now get a signal in many indoor places that I couldnt with Three.

Three were OK, but I now know what I was missing so maybe the One Plan letters arnt such a bad thing after all And the way Three treat their customers is appalling!!

A year ago I can't imagine many people would go to Vodafone and have a better experience. Roll forward to now and what a difference. Imagine this time next year.

Imagine if VF does what it has done in Spain and allows EU data roaming without the £3 daily charge...

You do realise that every network operators will be obliged to allow EU data roaming by June 2017? Assuming the UK is still in the EU in June 2017 of course. In the interim from April 2016 network operators will be able to add a surcharge of no more than: €0.05 extra per megabyte of data used.

The networks must be using voodoo and fervently hoping for a Brexit, they can probably almost taste the £3-£5 per MB they could be getting should it happen.

Yes, but some networks aren't waiting.

Hence what I said, namely that Feel at Home won't be quite as big a selling point if one of the other UK carriers allows data roaming this year.

Three has also stopped adding new locations for some time, and I wonder if they intend to do so now?

Vodafone DE also have EasyTravel Flat which lets you use use your tariff in the EU, USA, Canada, Turkey and Switzerland, for 5 Euro a month but the problem is you have to sign on for 12 months. But roaming costs are coming down and down.

They called me about 2-3 days after I requested my PAC.

I didn't wait for them to call me, I ordered my PAC then called the 0800 no. and said that I had a missed call from them.

It's on the thread or PM me and I'll dig it out for you.

Others are correct regarding raising a complaint, I didn't get offered 30 days tariffs until I complained.

My complaint was regarding the lack of truth and honesty (they misled about several things including Vodafone being cheap only for a few months and having a 6GB limit).

I left Vodafone for Three a few years ago because of their awful 3G coverage and speeds... After trying them out over the last month with a payg sim they are like a different network and I'm surprised how much they've improved in just a few years. I just wish their sim only deals were a bit more generous with data for the price they charge.

Right now I'm on Three Sim only (200 mins, 5000 texts, AYCE data, £12.90) and I'll stay on it until I'm pushed. As I've said on here before, Three tell me my plan won't be changing, but others on my plan have received 'the letter' so I'm expecting I will too.
