I will be leaving once they kick me off just to stick the boot and recommending others do the same and go with EE,
What a childish thing to say.

I don't get you here, why is it childish to say he intends to leave and will be recommending to others to do the same?

Surely quite a normal reaction to the way Three have treated their One Plan customers? (and probably all other old plan customers in the near future).

I expect a lot of people will leave and actually pay more to be elsewhere than continue to give Three their business. I don't think Three (or Hutchison, as it doesn't surprise me that someone has said it's time to stop being nice and become ruthless like the competition) has considered that some people will cut off their nose to spite their face out of principle. And that's no bad thing - it DOES make companies sit up and take notice.

People eventually said enough was enough to the way they were treated by Ryanair, Tesco etc - so voting with your feet/wallet is a VERY strong power that is arguably better than the power shareholders have over a company.

Three has no hold over its customers now. Even if some people might come back later, there's no reason to remain with Three after what it has done. My life won't end if I cancel and use EE for a while, and if in 6 months or so Three comes up with something more competitive, I can choose then whether to come back.

Why poke your nose into other people's business?

If you want to leave, leave, but to bleat about how you're going to try and make others leave too is just childish IMO.

It's called raising awareness, it's how open societies work.

Poke my nose in other people's business? I'm not going to go around telling everyone, just if they ask about mobile recommendation, I will say not to go with Three.

What's this thread for if not discussing what people can do when they're told to change tariff?

I've not spoken to anyone anywhere else about this, bar my wife (who will also be kicked off in due course), my own blog, plus some Tweets.

Whats someone else might or might not do doesn't affect me, and I don't think anyone needs to do what I'm going to do (which isn't decided yet, but if I can't get the top tariff for £15 as others have then it's more likely than not that I'll go).

No, you specifically said you would be telling others.

No mention of waiting until you're asked for your opinion (I.e-poking your nose into other people's business).

Some background to the end of The One Plan claiming it's being driven by Three's parent Hutchison putting pressure on Three to deliver higher revenues which is causing tension.

http://www.mobiletoday.co.uk/news/in...-one-plan.aspx
Everything in that article is pretty much spot on.

Three are trying to change too fast and the issue is that their customers aren't moving at the same pace as Three are.

It's going to result in unhappy customers and ultimately unhappy staff.

Also,

If anyone is interested, Vodafone will be launching their 20GB SIM Only plan soon. It's going to be £42pm so not exactly great value.

Also, Vodafone will be following O2 shortly and making all their 4G phones sell only with 4G plans. It's not a free 4G for all type thing, just a 4G included with most tariffs type thing.

Typical Vodafone Premium Price, Poor data network. Nothing to recommend it at all!

I got something on that but it says £40 so I don't know. I guess it looks better if you are currently paying a tenner for Spotify.

There's also 30 day 4G plans which I don't think they did until now.

Not exactly Dan and Phil though is it (I assume EE will be counting those too)?

japauls post just confirms what I said originally..it was a financial decision.
It is what everyone has been saying

Nah. I'll stay for the okay network, unlimited data and home signal box (which EE seem to refuse to offer without a fight and/or some money, whereas 3's is free). Don't feel like paying even more for even less just to make some sort of point.

True haha.

And yes, EE count any registered account as a EE customer.

If people are making 300 minutes plus per month on their mobiles with their 3 one plan sim they really will be in for a huge shock if they switch to the EE PAYG when their plans are based on calls charged at 30p per minute.

Reading the EE 100GB data free for 2 months PAYG thread I am totally shocked that you only get 116 minutes 40 (not even 2 hours) worth of calls for the £10 voice and text add on and you have to make the add on last for 30 days and exceeding the 116 minutes 40 seconds means you are then charged at 30p per minute. And it appears quite a few of them make a lot of calls as well on their one plan.

It seems that some who have purchased this sim from EE haven't even realised how expensive the calls will work out for them. If you make 300 minutes calls on their monile with an EE PAYG sim that will be £65.10 they will have to pay on calls alone.

It's a 2 month limited deal. That;s why people are getting it.

Not because they plan to use EE pay as you go for next couple of years.

I have a load of SIMs too, although I only have one contract SIM (Tesco), the others are just PAYG SIMs that I occasionally put money on.

It does confuse my friends when my number randomly changes

Who said you will only be able to check a few e-mail and watch the occasional short videos with 4GB tethering limit on a 3 pay monthly limit.

I listen to tunein, watch length videos on youtube and various other audio, flickr, Google earth etc on my mobile with my 3 £15 AYCE data sim inserted and I don't need to tether to a laptop, pc or samsung smart tv do so.
