Might jump to them before I'm pushed from 3 then, just wondering how I will cope with the lack of 3g!

EE seems to be content to just up the SIM only plans by a quid a month. Some deal!

I'm hoping they won't change too much ie, reduce data allowances and increase the prices too much as I'm seriously thinking of moving to them from three beginning of June, and looking for the 12 month 10 or 20gb allowance, like the idea of spotify too as the car and phone is virtually the only place I listen to music now..
I'm hanging on with three as I'm off to Spain at the end of the May and fancy using my three at home. Do Vodafone have any roaming deals like three's euro pass?

Yes, £3 a day I think within Europe and £5 outside (correct me if I'm wrong). Same deal as Three, where you can use your minutes/texts/data.

Thanks Jon, that adds food for thoughts..

Vodafone is currently £ a day for up to 100mb on pay as you go.
with the exception of threes feel at home countries, on payg vodafone appears to be the cheapest option ( disregarding the local sim option ) if you can survive on 100mb a day.

My new plan starts next week with Three and I am wondering if there is an app for my iPad to see how much data I have used through hotspot tethering since Three have stopped unlimited tethering. I am using my iPhone as the hotspot and using my iPad to browse the net. Please advise.

Looking at Three Upgrade prices, they seem to have gone up a few quid on all devices in the last few days.

3 in Europe offer only a £5 daily internet pass which offers unlimited DATA & doesn't include Calls & Texts.
Beware accounts have a £40 limit & after 8 days use you can no longer use their services, including calls and texts.as you hit the limit.
So for people going on holiday for more than a week you need to call them and increase your limit before you go. Mine is set at £80 now.

Vodafones Europass is much better £3 for using your inclusive minutes text & data but apart from that 3 for me is excellent.
Hope that helps

Yeah, I meant to mention this in response to an earlier post. Feel at Home works, as the name suggests, like at home. So, you can use your inclusive data, minutes and texts. In other European countries, the Euro Internet Pass included only unlimited data. (Which isn't so bad really. Use WhatsApp or iMessage rather than text (remembering to switch Send as SMS off) and use Skype, Facebook Messenger or FaceTime Audio for calls.

So my One Plan will come to an end this month and I'm looking at the options. I'm paying £14 a month. Does anyone know if I am still able to get free Three-to-Three minutes if I ask for that as mentioned earlier in the thread or are there no deals at all now?

I only use calls to speak to my mum who is caring for my dad and I need to keep in touch regularly. The 200 minutes of the £17 plan aren't enough but she would happily switch over to a PAYG Three SIM so I was thinking that might be the best solution for me.

If you both have smartphones (Android or iOS) you could consider Whatsapp for calls from your data allowance (or wifi if at home).

I really don't know what to do when they contact me. 200 minutes possibly isn't QUITE enough for me, and it's going to be really annoying/infuriating to go from unlimited minutes to 200, have a restriction put on tethering (not that I use it much), AND pay more per month.

Yeah, it's on the list of possibilities. She doesn't just now - still happy with an old Nokia that sits with endless charge on it and a few pounds of emergency credit. I call the landline normally to speak. I know it's not a normal use-case and I'll have to suck it up if it comes to it but the Three to Three would have been an easy solution.

Do you just mean you are reaching the end of your 12 month minimum term of the One Plan, or have you actually received a letter from Three saying that they are booting you off it at the end of the month? If the former then the contract will simply continue on a month by month basis on the exact same terms as before until either you cancel it, or Three contact you to say they will be discontinuing it and at that point you will need to either move to an alternative Three tariff, or end the contract and move elsewhere.

Many people (myself included) have carried on well beyond the minimum 12 months (mine was originally through to January this year), which with any other network would be completely normal. It is only because Three have chosen to specifically end existing One Plan contracts that we are in this situation. Unfortunately even those who are yet to be contacted are apparently going to be booted off eventually, so it is probably a case of do you want to jump before you are pushed. On the one hand you can remain on the extremely good value tariff you have for as long as possible until Three drag you off it kicking and screaming, on the other the longer you leave it the more expensive the alternatives seem to be getting!

No letter yet, I'm nearing the end of my 12 months. I tried to get clarification back in July last year and was happy with what they said, then resurrected the Twitter conversation in January at which point I was given conflicting information. I'll attach the image of it but you may need to zoom in to read. On emailing complaints because of the conflicting information to find out which version was true I was told that they couldn't help and I'd be told options at the time - a dreadful response.

Obviously reading through this thread I know their final tweet back saying I would move to a rolling contract on the same terms isn't going to be the case and so I'm just trying to sort out best way forward for myself. Trying to get a straight answer has been ridiculous.
I'll hold out as long as I can and I'll make a point of mentioning and linking to what I was told on Twitter but I can't see it doing much good.

You will go on a rolling one month contract until you receive a letter saying you are being moved off, and no one is able to tell you when that letter will arrive.

I've been out of contract since January, and no letter so far, so I'm still paying the same as before.

I've have been out of contract since October last year and, like you, I am still on the old deal.
When they do eventually send me a letter, I will simply change provider.

Anyone got experience of using Talktalk's £12 deal? What network are they connected to?

TalkTalk runs on Vodafone, so data coverage may be patchy outside of towns/cities.

TalkTalk currnently runs on Vodafone but it's due to transiton to O2 at some point because it signed a multi-year MVNO agreement with Telefonica UK last November that also includes 4G. So out of frying pan and into the fire so far as data coverage.

I have been out of contract for about 6 months now on my Three The One Plan £15 12 Month SIM Only with a HomeSignal box. I use about 20GB data a month on the phone but never tether, about 500mins a month and about 1,500 texts and I have had no calls or letters or anything from them (Yet)! I was expecting to be kicked off this plan months ago like when it first went out of contract from the 12 months.

Im the same as you, except I tether about 2GB a month.

I put my lack of being kicked down to one of 2 things.

1: I get a lot of incoming calls from other networks which make Three money.
2: My surname begins with W hence at the bottom of their list.

Been out of contract since January, I don't get a lot of calls and my surname starts with a B. So that theory goes straight out of the window

My minimum term was reached in Fed 2014, my surname begins with A and I don't have a huge amount of incomming calls.

Still happily using The One Plan for now.
