I'm still in the One Plan so wonder what deal I'll be offered? I too have got used to uploading and downloading files via my phone, so don't expect the loss of unlimited tethering to be much of a problem.
In fact, I haven't used tethering at all for about two months. |

Just chugged round for another 30 days - how much longer?
the app is showing my plan as "this portlet encountered an error and could not be displayed" |

Hi, this is not One Plan related, but just thought I'd pop it in here instead of a whole new thread. I am going to switch to them soon for the Feel at Home feature. O2 travel was alright for Europe, but will need data while in the US.
Got a PAYG sim card to check the signal at the few places I will need it, and jobs a goodun' Looking at their tarrifs, they have a sim-only plan for £20pm with: - Unlimited Data - 200 minutes - 30 day rolling contract But, they also have a PAYG tariff, where you just top up £15 a month, purchase the add-on and get: - Unlimited Data - 300 minutes - No contract (top-up every 30 days). Is there a catch? Or is it just cheaper due to having to top-up or something? If anything I thought it would be more expensive. |

Three at home was great in America last year, worked well if not always overly fast, sadly since then I've tried it in some places in Europe and have been less then impressed.. Still on my one plan here, expired in march but may jump before I'm pushed if my network troubles continue, comes to something when a 1mbps Vodafone 3g signal seems like lightening in comparison!

And no guarantee of being around in the future, it could disappear without notice at any time.

I'm still on it, but I don't mind when I get moved really. 4GB of tethering should be enough, if I need more I'll get a dongle I can use with the laptop / mobile bb.

That's what I've done for convenience (still one plan ATM). £11 for 15GB means I don't have to worry. Though I wish they would allow you to top up if you run out (I've set the data limit at 15GB to prevent a scary bill).

Just saw something online...
https://scontent-lhr3-1.xx.fbcdn.net...91&oe=56333E2F Maybe it's a mess up on Three's website?.... Quick buy it and challenge them under a screenshot of the plan (which i'm yet to locate) and you might get unlimited tethering or they'll have to cancel the contract for showing that as you sign up. Found it go to ;- http://www.three.co.uk/Store/SIM/Plans_for_phones then 'Help me choose' to the right hand side of the page Select any one... Then select Tethering Then put the slider for tethering at the top... 12 month Any sim card Shows you a plan with the information of : 'Unlimited data for tethering' Just like the screenshot... Then when you actually go on it, it says '4GB' http://store.three.co.uk/view/content/basket?intid=15g Maybe you could challenge Three to give you a unlimited tethering package based on that information... At least worth a try? |

I was on this plan and decided it was time for to move away from Three network seemed to be falling apart grinding to a halt. I was waiting around for a couple of hours on Saturday was surprised I had a 4G on EE as it wasn't a remote area but wasn't very urban either. Got my iPad out turned on tethering and streamed some Simpsons episodes this type of experience is my priority for my choice of network I know it's likely not for all. I'm on a large data plan with EE and am using around 4-6GB a month though that might go up when Apple Music is released on Tuesday. Three forced me off the plan and didn't offer me anything to stay with them so didn't see any reason to not look at my options.
Basically what I'm saying in a long-windedly way I'm glad some people still have the plan and enjoying low prices. I've personally found the experience with EE has been better so if you do get forced off do look at your options don't just resign with Three without checking around. |

I started with 5GB sim only and used it for a month, then phoned to cancel and that was the retention deal they offered. |

It is a mobile broadband SIM (data only).

It's strange they would do that after you just being on a 5GB sim only plan for just 1 month, especially as most people have to pay nearly twice as much as £11 for 15GB. |

EE is light years ahead even in Manchester compared to Three. When my letter comes I'll consider them then look at Vodafone and go with a nice deal with Vodafone. The sim only deals on EE are just ridiculous.

If EE's prices were slightly more competitive I'd strongly consider it (their 4G coverage here is light years ahead and getting better all the time). They also seem to be happy to rip off SIM only customers by letting full fat phone customers get the better tariffs
Oh plus fact EE seem to be able to hire Call centre people who speak English unlike Three which is a big boost to me. |
