I was under the impression the latest chinese dual sim phones are fully compatible with both networks - not 3g on one sim and 2g on the other fudge anymore.

I was offered one of only two special offers - the 4GB for £9 and 8GB for £13. I mentioned to her that I know people who have received an offered of unlimited everything for £20. Her response was 'oh yes, I was going to mention that one, but you don't use enough data for that to be worth it'. I partly agree with her, she averaged up my years usage and said it comes to 4GB but she'd recommend the 8GB deal just in case. Part of me wants to take this as it comes in under what I currently pay, but another part of me wants to keep my unlimited data / 12gb tethering 'just in case'. The only time I've really used lots of data was when tethering to my tablet to watch a tonne of Netflix programmes whilst waiting for a family member to have a day op at the hospital!

Also she said the £20 option would be a 12 month contract but the others were one month. I couldn't remember if that was true or not (people here have mentioned £20 12 month but I'm sure other forums have said one month), I panicked and said I'd think about it and call back. Decision time! What would you guys do?”

I was offered AYCE data & mins for £20 or AYCE data & 600 mins + free 3 to 3 for £17. I don't use that many minutes so I went with the latter that continues to be monthly rolling i.e. my minimum term date stays the same as my original One Plan.

I've got a 3 year old GT99 which uses the old Sim system. Whilst its still working fine i've got no desire to upgrade it just for a bit of convenience . Cheaper to just continue to use the Giff Gaff sim in the phone and then use the EE MBB Mifi on the laptop / phone at home via wifi.

I'm leaving any upgrades for when they have 4G in the places I use it the most.

I sort of want the letter as it'll force me to cancel, but every time I think about it now I think about my next holiday and how I'll use Feel at home and it'll save me money (well sort of). I should just move onto PAYG, but it's nice having a backup SIM.

I use EE with 18GB data and unlimited calls for £16 per month now, so much better in London than Three.

How did you get that price

One of the legacy tariffs perhaps?

Retention deal. I was going to move to BT Mobile but EE offered a similar deal so I took it. It's the £28.99 package with a few add ons.

If anyone's interested in ee they have the 10gb unlimited voice and texts for 23.99 instead of 28.99 until 09:00 today.

Vodafone are targeting 3 users with an offer on Sim Only.

Just been told that from today for a limited time the 20GB plan is £20 a month.

12 month Sim Only
£20 a month
20gb data including tethering
Unl min
Unl SMS
And you get to have entertainment for the 12months for free.

First 2 months unlimited data
And you can upgrade to a handset without penalty after 3 months

I heard about something for next week but if this is £20 and also with EuroTraveller and Spotify etc, then it's incredible. That's effectively a tenner a month!

Very tempted by that! Have been thinking of moving to EE when the Galaxy S7 is released but pretty tempted to go for that and just buy the S7 outright when it comes out.

That came from retail store staff by the way.

I was looking at moving but think I'll sign upto this if they will give it to existing customers

And £78.75 Cashback available via Top Cashback, assuming its not Store only.

Blows the EE 'deal' out of the water ( provided you have Vodafone 3G / 4G in your area)

It's definitely a good idea, but I just can't commit to going to Vodafone just yet. Why? They need to sort out their 3G network.

There are still quite a lot of areas in Northamptonshire where are Vodafone blackspots for 3G/4G - lots of old ancient masts that seriously need upgrading. EE/Virgin, on the other hand, provide pretty much continuous 3G, with very few blackspots.

When does it actually start? It's still showing as £40 on the Vodafone website.

I would have been tempted by that Vodafone deal, but would not touch them with a barge pole due to their crap data outside built up areas and their not admitting for several months towards the end of my S3 contract that there were not 3G probs in my town when they launched 4G (use to always get at least 3meg until just before 4G launched officially and then it dropped to .1meg at times and .3 was the fastest even though my 2 phones and my wifes phone all showed H+ signal.

Sounds like Vodafone forgot to upgrade the backhaul to that site! 3Meg seems reasonable (probably a Micro backhaul) but 4G coming along seems to have taken all of the resources - leaving a crippled 3G service.

Voda need to upgrade the backhaul to that site.

I signed up to the Vodafone 20gb plan today. I requested a PAC and had various calls and all I was offered was the published plan changes on the website. I mentioned the deals others have accepted and I was told it's not possible and there was no way Three would offer those deals to some and not others. I have been with Three for two years and it's been a mixed bag really, some things good and some things not.

You needed to be referred to customer relations to get any discounts, but the Vodafone deal is amazing. It's like a tenner a month if you had Spotify or one of the other services anyway.

And with 80 odd quid cash back on offer...

link to vodafone offer http://www.vodafone.co.uk/shop/bundl...ls/b/index.htm

12 month sim only 20GB data, ultd mins+text as well as a choice of netflix, spotify, Sky sports or now tv.
A netflix standard subscription is worth £7.99/month if you subscribe to netflix the cost would be equivalent to £12.01 a month
If you factor in the cashback deal this goes down to £5.35/month

If you subscribe to Spotify (which I used to), you'd effectively be paying £10 per month for 20GB data. That is a phenomenal deal, and if Vodafone had good nationwide 3G coverage on the 900MHz band (like how MBNL set up 3G on 2100), it'd be a done deal.

Unfortunately Vodafone has a lot of areas that are still 2G900 only, and they need to be upgraded to 3G900 and 4G800. If Vod/O2 had 3G900 on every mast, then 3G coverage would be awesome.

I think that, if 3/O2 goes through, and 3G900 and 2100 was on every mast, you'd have one awesome network in terms of 3G/4G coverage. There are still quite a few weak areas on EE 3G (example, Denny Abbey, Cambridgeshire; most of Hunstanton Town/Village Center (particularly the seafront area, and the flats on the seafront - maybe EE need to turn the panels on the mast or add another panel); the A11 close to Thetford; and Eye Village/the A47 near Eye, Peterborough). However, there are also weak areas on CTIL/Vod/O2.

I'd be happy to get 3mbps, or even 1 mbps, since Three & EE can barely scrape 0.5mbps here. But sadly the lack of any 3G Vodafone coverage takes this offer out of the equation for me, but as soon as you drive out of a Town, 2G only.

If there was 3G from Vodafone, i'd be signing up like a shot. Its certainly a good offer, far better than EE's 3 month discount on their 16GB tariff, after which you end up paying over £14 / month more for 4GB less compared to the Vodafone offer, add in the extras and its a win - win deal.

Coverage or not , this offer could be a good bargaining chip for getting better deals from the other networks

I would like Vodafone to be better as I can get a friends and family discount however their 3G and 4G coverage is awful. I had hoped it would show some improvement in the last 3 years. 4G roll out has only covered areas they already have 3G in my part of the world. 2G coverage is still much the same which is extensive. Leave any major town and city its 2G all the way

Worth checking for anybody that wanted to sign up for the Vodafone deal that the company that they work for may give up to 20% with Vodafone (I know the company that I work for does and also the NHS).

Also I believe it's for friends and family as well, so if you know anybody that works at one of these companies.

Just found a list of the companies online (although it's from July 2012, but I recon a lot of them remain):
