I respect Brian for saying this, because let's be honest it's totally true, it wasn't even a "dance routine" it was 3 tiny movements..

Won't this get him in some bother with Cheryl and Simon?

It could a) have been taken out of context (and I am no Lauren fan), b) meant as a kick up the arse that is scripted and c) he might have said similar critique or at least critique about all the contestants but the producers only 'leak' what they want to leak sometimes.

There was an article leaked around Saturday that quoted him as saying that Paul was a tough nut etc to crack and was the hardest to work with - which was an absolute ploy on behalf of producers. Same thing here. I am not convinced that what Brian is saying is a producer script etc but it is being used and abused for other reasons certainly.

Was it a Body Slam? A German Suplex? A Side Slam? Or someone who is good at one thing (Granted very good at it) but couldn't find success mixing dancing with singing attacking someone who also struggles to master two things at the same time?

Dancing is not an essential part of being a good artist.

Im not even a huge Lauren fan but this is ridicilous

I don't think it was necessary for him to make those statements, but he's totally right.

Is this a means to getting folks to feel sorry for her and vote even more...like the cruel treatment given towards Paul also???

Makes me wonder really. ....producers wanting these two to win the competition..reverse psychology and all that??

I know what you mean - if you google controversy and manipulation X factor UK it is an interesting read lol. Even as a Paul fan I have had my doubts about the hatred towards him from Simon last week? Although the not knowing the cameras were on him and saying the word shit at the time kind of made me think no lol. However, non fans will always tag onto these things as it is a good bit of manipulation of the public which you must agree on - he is excellent in it! I hate it but I have to admit he is the best! (not really a compliment for a human being in the long run though is it)

I was once told by a choreographer that I was as graceful as a drunken giraffe in a snowdrift. I am a singer, had to work to be a more than passable dancer, so no offense taken at the truth.I'm betting Lauren feels the same .He didn't criticize her voice.
