I realise Claudia will probably never read this thread, but I just wanted a place where people can post their best wishes for Claudia and her family.

My heart goes out to you and your family, what an awful accident. I hope Mathilda improves rapidly and you can get back to family life as soon as possible .

Claudia you are much missed and I would love to see you back because it means family life has returned to some semblance of normal .

Happy to agree to this, but especially as Claudia was brave and honest enough to use the opportunity to urge others to take more care. In the blame culture in which we live, it is good to see someone accepting responsibility for what happens when risks are taken. Personally I hate "trick or treating" (even when the parents are with the children as Claudia was) - an import from America that we can well do without. So well done, Claudia and best wishes to Matilda..

I missed you and your quirky humour this weekend. Iwas very sorry to hear about your daughter's accident. I wish you all the very best and hope that Mathilda continues to improve and comes home soon.
Accidents like that are very difficult to predict and it is impossible to totally protect your children without wrapping them in cotton wool.
I look forward to seeing you and your joie de vivre back on Strictly when you feel able to return.
