Three's AYCE add-on.

I am on a pretty good legacy tariff from Three which I do not wish to give up as I have 5,300 Three minutes, 300 minutes/SMS and 2GB of data with tethering for a fiver.

However, I could do with more data; in the past, I put on their AYCE data add-on for three quid (great value) but the only problem was that this took precedence over the 2GB and prevented any tethering at all, as a result.

Does anyone know if that add-on now includes the 4GB of tethering, in which case I would put it back on?

Enjoy that plan while it lasts - you'll be bumped off it soon.

The loss of free 3 to 3 minutes to friends and family altogether on top of the cut to the minutes is extremely disappointing. Though 600 minutes is still a good amount for most.

Looks like calls to friends and family are going to have to be made to an 01 or 02 number within their reduced number of minutes plan. Either you or friends or family are going to have to get a fixed landline installed if don't already have one, and that if you or friends and/or family have a good credit rating if the 600 minutes don't cover.

I suppose it does cut down on excessive unnecessary calls

The ayce add on doesn't include tethering.

Oh and David, 3 to 3 minutes still exist.

Three have already confirmed all legacy tariffs are going.

Thanks for that.

I wish they'd introduce a Data-only SIM with MT-Voice. These minutes are totally unimportant to me. And what's SMS, when it's at home ?

Thought it was just the one plan which was going?

Nope all the old plans are going Three put on fb ;-

'we’re contacting out of contract customers over the coming months to let them know we’re phasing out our old plans. You’ll have 60 days to decide what to do. If we don’t hear from you, we’ll move you on to a 1 month SIM Only plan. You can cancel this plan at any time with 30 days notice. We will give you an option of a plan as close to the plan you are on but you will be given options to choose. Have you seen our current plans available? http://bit.ly/1pwJrcV >Claire'

After years of being a 'Mug' network and offering loads of services for pennies it appears they're taking the EE premium approach and raising prices to balance themselves with other mobile network operators.

Thanks. For me personally, I currently pay £9.90 and the equivalent current deal is £15 but on a new contract. Taking this and then buying a new phone outright would still work out cheaper than buying a phone+airtime contact. For unlimited data, whether people like it or not, Three still clearly is the only option and that is their unique selling point.

But if you're getting all that for a fiver, they'll be much more likely to say "bye then, here's your PAC" - as they aren't making much/any money off of you and that's what's important to them.
