The Doctor regenerated into a cucumber because there's nothing to say that he can't regenerate into a cucumber

Maybe this all has some to do with the Land Of Fiction and the new Master of the Land is played by Michael Troughton

My mother came into the room halfway through the clip, took one look at the 'elves' and said 'What are Ant and Dec doing on this?".

I wish they had left the Clara story with the last scenes of 'Death in Heaven'. It was so brilliantly written and acted that it demanded that be Clara's send off. Oh well.

Back to topic and cause mayhem :-

This was Children In Need.....I expected more than a bloody preview of the next episode!! Is that all BBC can afford these days??

I would expect (like other actors in EE and other series) actors to DO something special for the night for charity. Even a cheap scene with the Doctor, Clara and Danny singing with a Cyberman would have been better!!
What a let-down

Lovely clip. Brilliantly played by all. But after a season of getting it right by actually having consequences and meaningful emotional grace notes Moffat has undone it. Again.

The finale was 10/10. But the way they interrupted the closing credits within SECONDS to basically say 'Yeah. You've barely had time to register the beautifully written final scenes with Doc and Clara but hey! Don't worry. They're back again!'. Horrid moment. Utterly utterly stupid and crass and a reminder that even at its finest the show has to stoop to the level of other idiot Saturday entertainment.

Get rid of this stuff now! It ruined the ends of the every season its appeared in.

Back on topic. Looks amazing

Was Santa making a racket to cause Clara to investigate? Did Santa crash his sleigh? In the clip,, presents all over, sleigh on the side Loved the snow on rooftops, The Doctor seemed a little grumpy. Santa's response to the tangerines rebuff was funny.

Every single year since 2010 I've thought that was the direction things were going for the season finale. And so far, it hasn't been yet.

Having rewatched the clip I'm wondering whether the episode name is The Doctor and Santa. It sounds typical of this era at any rate, but it's the way the words appear on screen and linger before the rest of the words do at the end.
