OH signed for 12 months sim free with EE in store today. I think got worn out as it took so long to do (over an hour with sales guy and his rambling on and slow computer system and OH tired). The sales guy said there's a 14 day cooling off period but can't see anything in the contract about that. OH rang EE on 150 but they said if you buy in store you have to deal with it in store (?!).
The 4 or 3G is fine but there is terrible call signal at home. Calls just going to voicemail. My phone was right next to OHs but went to voicemail. I'm with Tesco and have 3 bars reception at -93-105 dBm (app Network Signal info) whereas OH's phone with EE sim has a best reading of -105 and 1 bar signal strength most of the time.
Want to cancel the contract as it's not providing the service that was promised. Anyone have any experience of this situation? We were both once with T Mobile where calls dropped all the time round here but assumed EE being a premium network would be better.
Yes I know should've tried PAYG first but this is OHs first personal phone (has had a work phone).
