Paul got all my votes, even with that awful arrangement he managed to make something of DSMN. Cowell seems determined not to have him on the tour for some reason, God knows why. The comments after he sang, reinforcing the negative comments from last week, were appalling. If Paul goes, I'm afraid I go too.

Tin foil hat conspiracies abound this week clearly. The only thing that should be going is x-factor, a tired and predictable format well past its sell-by date.

Totally agree OP. I did think that it was because Cowell saw Paul as the competition but of course that's just a side issue. There must be something behind the scenes. Maybe they have their eyes on another contestant as being more marketable (and malleable).

It's so blatant and I can't understand why. He seems like such a nice guy?! Whilst I was watching Ben's performance all I could think was how much Paul would have smashed that song.

The treatment Paul is facing from Simon is horrible. It's like asking that person whom you hate to leave the party early.

I was totally gobsmacked when he said Paul should perform with a piano to give him a bit of extra something. That would turn him into an everyday lounge crooner. If that isn't sabotage I don't know what is. The other judges must know what's going on but they are the hired help and ultimately it's Simon's gig.

Paul got all my 10 votes from phone and tablet plus texts and phone ins. And I will be throwing in a few more today too
Simons treatment towards him is just short of bullying, he is a nasty peice of work. What was all that about when he was saying to Louis that, he owed Paul an appology???? Huh well if Paul goes tonight, (WHICH HE WONT) thats it for me. It will be Strictly for me from then on!!!
Come on people lets keep this Extremely talented singer in. VOTE VOTE VOTE FOR PAUL. PLEASE

did the ap confirm them

I hope he gets to do Big Band week. He'd bring the house down with something like 'Summertime'.

Yes, worked for me thankfully.

It's awful. The song was wrong for him last week and he had every right to complain about it. In general I think the acts should have a lot more say in what they sing, the best performances every year are in the weeks where the acts are allowed to choose their own songs.

I've voted 10 times for Paul and badgered my friend who doesn't even watch X Factor into voting for him 5 times too.

I agree completely. Haven't OTY and Stereo kicks moaned about their song choices on a number of occasions and cowell has said nothing to them?! I don't think paul comes across as miserable at all.

Lois allows only the young to choose their song, but the one week Paul is so worried about a song, he is branded ungrateful and miserable. OTY are nice but out of tune in all the solo bits, Paul is note perfect, so what is the issue with him.

If all Cowell is interested in is the young teen market, then he should just have that age group on the show, except it wouldn't give them the viewing figures.

If he gets his way and Paul gets the boot, I hope stevi wins, let Cowell be lumbered with that.

Millions have been aware of Scowell and his manipulation and nastiness for several years now. Why is this still being discussed as though the shocking treatment is just a new concept?

Why is this show being allowed to continue? People power forces the Government's hand easier than it gets rid of a 'nasty pasty' who is a disgusting example of a so-called mentor to young people. Why is he being allowed to mentor young people? I certainly would not allow such a moron to have anything to do with members of my family. I value them and their prospects too much.

The bad guy here is Scowell. People are allowing their young to watch and at the same time, positively endorse disgraceful conduct.

This is what happens when a moronic person is so empowered.

I applaud business enterprise but not at the undermining and marginalising of young people.

Contestants are subject to the whims of the producers and every year there are those who are screwed over to varying degrees. This isn't a new thing, it happens all the time. Considering it's very much a David vs Goliath affair and that the house always wins I'm afraid Paul is gone, either tonight (likely) or very soon. It's sad to see people in positions of power and authority abuse their position and use ordinary people and their dreams as puppets, pawns and playthings. But like I said, it's been that way for quite some time.

For paul ,a lad who lost loads of weight and by his own admission lacked confidence growing up,to then be systematically undermined and insulted by cowell is a disgrace and cowell should be ashamed but he isnt of course he will just get his way as usual

I totally agree

It's obvious they want him gone and this was reinforced when they gave him the death slot tonight. That's two first slots in the first 5 weeks. The song choice was also terrible. Also the praise was tactical, completely tactical.

Simon wants him out. His VT's have been terrible and he's been portrayed as a misery arse.

I really hope he escaped bottom two tonight because I fear if he is there, he'll be toast.

Everyone please vote.

It reminds me of Craig Colton. There was a moment on the show where Craig realized he had been screwed over and told Carolynn that he would be the one to go. There was a look in his eyes, the look of a broken young man. It was pretty sad to see.

I'm on the verge of giving up on this programme, I must admit. The manipulation is just perpetual now. I'm half-hoping that the emerging hatchet job is because he's polling *way* higher than they'd like, and they just want to undermine him so he can't win down the line rather than knock him out immediately. It's a tall hope though and sadly I suspect he may well be leaving tomorrow night.”

It would be a travesty if he did win. An album of covers! I hope he gets through to big band week but they will not give him a good song.

Well said, has Cowell been asked about this

The look of loathing on Simon's face when the camera pans to him as PA reaches the top of the steps says it all really.

I love Paul but as others have said the minute he's bottom two he's gone, it's obvious the final will be Andrea and Fleur, with the third act probably Ben or Jay. Personally Andrea does nothing for me, yes he has a good voice but I wouldn't buy his stuff or go and see him. If it's between him and Fleur then I would rather Fleur won as although she hasn't got the greatest voice at least she's more entertaining. Gutted for Paul though, I hope he carries on after X factor if he gets knocked out and does really well.
