Would you post weekly and on selected weekday races too spindiddly ?

Sorry to ask but we had a few newcomers in the last comp and they pulled out halfway through which messes it up a little

You are in James, that takes us to 24. If the others join that will be 28 so it will be 27 fixtures which means 24 Saturdays and 3 extra race days plus the cup
Darren Lethem

26 of us in and still waiting on scorer and Hibs Kid. Not sure whether to just include them anyway, they usually do play.

So we will have 28 of us then. I will post the card for the first race tomorrow along with the fixture list.

Right then here are the details of the fixtures

There are 27 rounds which will be the 24 Saturdays from this Saturday to the end of the season which is the Bet365 Gold Cup on Saturday 25th April 2015. Obviously we need 3 more races so these will be

King George - Boxing Day
Champion Hurdle - Tues March 10th
Cheltenham Gold Cup - Fri March 13th

There will also be a cup competition too which will run alongside this. It will be in 5 rounds

Round 1 - Last 32 ( 4 players will get byes ) - Queen Mother Champion Chase - Weds 11 Mar
Round 2 - Last 16 - World Hurdle - Thurs 12 Mar
Round 3 - Quarter Finals - The Betfred Bowl - Thurs 9 April
Round 4 - Semi Finals - Melling Chase - Fri 10 April
Round 5 - Final - Celebration Chase - Saturday 25 April so the league and cup will end same day

In the event of a tie in a cup game ( I am expecting a few ) I shall do another race that day as the replay. If you aren't around to post your horses will be the highest and lowest numbered on the racecard.

Of course if you wish to send me a PM with a reserve option you can do so now. EG, you may always want the top 2 if you miss a race or numbers 3 and 7 etc

Cheers boys. I have the fixture list done. I will post week 1 tomorrow and PM you all the complete fixtures for the 27 races. I have included scorer and Hibs because I am sure they would want in
Darren Lethem

Dave asked a good question - what happens if somebody drops out ?

you cant drop out of it because if you miss a race you get the first and last numbered horse, so if somebody doesn't post for weeks, they will still get those horses, therefore a contest still takes place.

Will we post our predictions in this thread all season?

Just out of interest too, is this Paddy Power Gold Cup race, the one which was once the Mackeson Gold Cup that Beau Ranger won?

Cheers for fixtures

How does the scoring work when a horse does not finish ?
Are they classed as void/loser regardless of which fence/hurdle they bow out on ?

Good question

They will be classed as not finishing yes, however in the case of some races ( like the National ) you usually find out where they fall so we will base it on that.

If I had 2 fallers and you had 1 faller and a 6th, then you would win the points.

As dave has pointed out the RP and SL do list the fallers and what fence but its later in the day, which is usually when the finishing order is out too, so i will use those sites for it.
