Any recommendations for TV 42 to 50 inch UK stock?
Hi
Looking for a new TV but using google can be very annoying. I was looking at a VIERA TX 48AS640E on some sites for £500. But seems to be an import from Europe ![]() Another I might just be able to get is the sony 42w706 just in my price range and from Argos or Currys so least you know its dispatched from UK. I had a 50 inch LG plasma before but want an LED now. |

google search came up with these
http://www.pixmania.co.uk/led-tv/pan...2157176-a.html And http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-lis...&condition=new Over £500 is to much though. Need to buy one quick as not got a TV. Sucks there is not a richersounds in Colchester or Ipswich as some decent prices there. |

That's non-UK, it's French (and part of Currys).
http://www.thecourier.co.uk/business...mania-1.127900 More importantly, Pixmania is receiving poor reviews. https://www.trustpilot.co.uk/review/www.pixmania.co.uk |

Thanks for that, but still not a UK company
![]() All Pixmania orders are supplied from France. You would hope they would supply UK models to the UK market though.

I wouldn't bother with Sony as I think they seem to be slightly behind with their TV's , and I used to be a huge fan of theirs. LG , Samsung and Panasonic are who I would aim at. When you are going to the 500 model to 520 and beyond, you are getting 6 month old panels cheaper as technology marches on; you have to decide at what point you have got the features you want to have and can live without the newer ones. For myself I can live without Smart TV functions, its Picture Quality for me. |

Sony and Panasonic are still far ahead of LG and Samsung, particularly in manufacturing quality and quality of service.
Its just Picture Quality I am talking about, and that's a personal choice. Sound Quality doesn't really bother me too much, but it still matters a bit. |

Sonys are still good Nigel, especially on service and their parts.

OK currys have a
LG 47LB580V Smart 47" LED TV £450 which I could get tonight if in stock? Or the SAMSUNG UE48H6200 looks OK on the ebay link. I read LG might have better viewing angle but Samsung TV would be better in Night Time due to better blacks. Can get a Sony KDL42W705 under £400 to from argos_outlet |
