Now it's getting a bit nippy I've started to make my winter ginger drink

Use root ginger, skin it, slice it up and simmer in water for 10-15 minutes

I use about an inch length of root and it does for 3 cups.......actually I just leave it in the pan and top up with more water when I've made a drink.......so you can just keep simmering the same ginger root over and over again though obviously it get less flavoursome after several uses

I stir a spoonful of honey into the hot ginger drink and sometimes the juice of half a lemon

Wonderful hot drink for winter, really warms up your insides.......
