That's because you're (I'm just guessing here!) not 13, a bit hormonal, and have just a single room to decorate to your own tastes! Teenagers tend to have just one room in their parents' house that they can express themselves in. Posters are the time honoured way of doing this.
The problem with the people on those posters - in 18 months to 2 years time, the average 15/16 year old girl goes 'ugh, what was I thinking?!' and rips them all down, replacing them with her new favourites! There's a reason why artists marketed to the teen market are so ephemeral, and on a continually replacing cycle. The teenagers who loved them grow up and, by their late teens, have expanded their tastes, and (mostly) left behind the obsessiveness of dedicating themselves to a single artist or band (and all those twitter handles along the lines of 'I'm gonna marry Harry Styles/Bieber etc' will disappear in the not-so-distant future, amid much embarrassment for the owners!).
The acts that don't specifically court the teens - Adele, Sam Smith and the likes - are the ones with built in longevity. Their fan base are far less likely to grow out of them, and are also much less influenced by 'are they hot?'! So Andrea has the beginnings of a fanbase, and can build on that, mostly free of the restrictions of having to cater to a specific demographic. Versatility isn't necessary for him either - he can do one thing very, very well, and have a great career if he works at being the best 'male diva' around. Sam Smith was absolutely right that there's a gap in the market for an artist like Andrea - I think, if he's managed well, he can absolutely fit into that gap and have a great career with it.
The thing is, unlike Sam Bailey - married, 3 kids, mid-30s woman - Andrea is 20 years old, and can be a young artist even whilst singing the big ballads. Sam was tied by her image and family circumstances almost from the moment she won. She got pregnant, she faced criticism for it and is subject to a lot more critique simply because she's a female in this industry. Andrea's only limitation is his sexuality - and that's become a near non-issue in recent years. He's got the best voice in the competition - Fleur is the more complete 'pop package' - and the voice nearly always comes through in the end, when you're talking future careers of XF solo artists.
