Not sure if it makes too much difference where Andrea finishes in the show as he will get a recording contract along with Fleur.

Yes, and what with Band Aid 30 looking like a sure fire xmas no1, It may very well be a good thing for Andrea to come 2nd, much as it pains me to say it.

I personally would agree with you on this point...but for Andrea himself, I would want him to have the title of X Factor winner 2014!!! Hes the one, in my eyes, who yearns for it more....he wants to be accepted in this country by those who would appreciate his music more than in Italy. ....plus , imo, his vocals are mostly note perfect, compared to the other 7 acts left in the competition! ! ( bar week 2...not sure what happened there)

Only Paul was "mostly note perfect" consistently, but Andrea is close, and has a truly outstanding voice.

Yet it didnt go so well for the mostly note perfect artist......as Paul is now out of the competition all together ( bar x factor tour 2015)

Anyone who understands the way these shows works can see easily that he was stitched up thanks to bad editing, 2 cheesy song choices, and the worst backing I have ever heard forced upon a great singer. Had they done the same to Andrea, the reverse could easily be the case. You'd possibly be amazed...in any case, I am sad to see Paul gone but glad Andrea is likely going to win, as he has been my favourite voice from the start!

Might as well crown him the winner of X Factor 2014 now.

I wasnt trying to be clever when I stated this. ...Paul didn't do himself any favours tbh as his time spent on the show often came over negatively during the live shows. ..before this, he was tipped to win it.... the final straw being his tantrum about the Meatloaf song, which he sang very well. Paul was one I rooted for to win the beginning. .last year even.....but his ' manner' and lack of excitement during the show turned me off him big time. ...this could have had the same impact on alot of voters who probably thought the same too, I dont know...it was Andrea who drew my interest, as I said before...and not by his voice either!!!! He would, imo, be worthy of the title more than Paul!! And now, I hope he is rewarded with it toi

Yes I do agree with you, a big part of me yearns for him to be crowned the winner for the reasons you just stated. And in my opinion he is the clear winner out of the pack and thoroughly deserves it. But not getting the Christmas no1 due to Band Aid would be an immediate downer, plus there is an enormous amount of pressure on the winner, Often the runners up enjoy much longer lasting careers.

I hope you won't take this as condescending, because I don't mean it to be or feel that way, but it was the use of note perfect to describe Andrea that I was disagreeing with. That is something that isn't a matter of opinion, and I see it misused a lot. When he gets excited, and very into a song, which is a joy to hear and see, it sometimes makes Andrea lose the melody and causes pitch and timing issues( that wouldn't be there otherwise as he does have very good pitch generally), where Paul is consistently close to perfect in those things even when he throws in a spontaneous addlib(perhaps too much so, as I have stated before) If what you actually meant to say Andrea is the singer with the most exciting approach and the best voice, I actually agree with you, though I think Paul is great ,too.

Covers are one thing - selling an original song something totally different.

Such is the music industry.”

Great voice, but I agree, he is not a pop star, a. Good singer , yes, and may appeal to a wider audience with the appropriate song material. Is X factor is after a pop star then no, he is not IMO in that category. What is X factor looking for? A pop star or a money cash cow in whatever form that may bring.
