As viewers we're all pretty wise to the reality tricks now. I do find it staggering that there are a handful of viewers left who maintain that "well, it was the public who decided it, not Syco" etc.

The public only see two tiny tiny moments in the act's working week - a 30 second Vt and a 2 minute song. That's all we have to go on, nothing more. Both are entirely controlled by Cowell and team.

I do think, in the mix of finalists, they deliberately pick a brilliant, but slightly dour, vocalist and then throw them under the bus midseries, in order to generate a "shock" decision. It seems to happen quite regularly. Paul was that mid series fall guy, poor bloke.

Decided what? The bottom two or the winner of the series?

What decision would Louis have made if he had been asked before Cheryl? Then he would not have the excuse of sending it to deadlock. There was no comparison between the two, the judges are there to make sure that the public don't get it wrong, Louis failed in that objective. They should give the judges a paddle which they raise simultaneously.

Yes let him down last year and again this year. What's all this about the best sing off. Jay was weak and Paul was brilliant. That's why Mel was so mad and Paul felt betrayed. They have been gunning for him. What a corrupt show this is. No honesty at all just cut and trust.

Louis didn`t like Paul.... He booted him out last year & has booted him out again this year..... Saying he was taking it t deadlock was just a nice way of saying he wanted Paul out.

What a fantastic idea.
Shame it's far too fair for them to consider!

Yes I totally agree with this, they do it every year. Laura White was another contestant they done it to. The year James Arthur was in the bottom two with Ella, the best singer in the contest the same thing happened then. The whole show is a fix and this is why it's losing so many viewers.

To use a well used phrase it has jumped the shark. But the last two shows were unacceptable in my opinion. I have no desire to watch programmes like that. It is not my idea of an entertainment show
