Except no-one was claiming it as a shock apart from Simon who, very badly, acted out a whole 'whoa, that was a shock tonight' routine on the Xtra Factor.

What people are pissed off at is that it was entirely predictable due to the very blatant shiny knives unsheathed over the last two weeks. There were posts and threads all over this forum predicting this very outcome, right down to the bottom two and how the judges would vote in the singoff. People just want a level playing field, that's all, a platform that gives each contestant an equal chance to shine and not a show that just unravels to Simon's predetermined outcome.
Exactly this, well said and so many peoples sentiments. Simon and Louis stitched Paul up like a kipper!

Anything that highlights Simon's attitude on Paul can only be a good thing - even it just 'converts' just a few people who were not aware of how much they are being manipulated...

They did this with Aiden a few years ago. He was placed very low but they thought he could add to the tour.

I don't think its fair my opinion. If we let Paul in we may as let Lola into and so on then Jack etc - there is a cut off point for a reason.

Paul's elimination had a lot to do with the manipulation... An unfair one by that...and that's the point people are trying to make.... The ones before not so much....

I get your points but I have always thought that anyone who makes the lives should be on the tour - EVERY contestant has some fans - it isn't fair that they have a cut-off

I think that what BethnalGreen stated might work, and avoid some of the manipulation/politics leading up to the tour cut off number 8. Anyone that makes the Lives, should go on tour. After all they were picked by the judges as the best of the mountain of hopefuls auditioned

He could be useful on the tour.

There's always a need for an act that everybody watching can skip and go to the loo or get a drink while it's on.

I have plugged this on Twitter and Facebook too so, hopefully today the target will be reached
Also the single Paul recorded, way back at the beginning of this year, and which is going to be released on the 15th of November has been aired on our local radio. So happy for him. Have a listen
