It just would'nt happen as the public had him in the bottom two, and if they do it for one contestant, there would be many more of the contestants that have been knocked out complaining.

The best way forward for Paul is to probably apply to go on 'The Voice' where he might well stand a better chance.

As much as I would like to see Paul reinstated, I agree, as it would set a precedent for any other "wronged" act in the future, and this is certain to happen again and again and again. I think the title X factor is their "get out clause". When people say this is supposed to be a singing competition, then they can argue that they're looking for something more and that singing is only a small part of it.

What I do hate though is the blatant manipulation of the audience, but again without it and all the other controversy such as crap acts being kept in over true talent and would people watch and talk about it so much if it was just a heap of excellent singers belting out great tunes every week?

It's a game of two halves really - The show - it's got to be entertaining otherwise nobody would watch it and then the outcome. Stevi for instance may be keeping us "entertained" and giving us stuff to talk about, would people buy his albums?...shouldn't think so. That's why the one's Simon wants to win are steered into their correct positions in the closing shows and final.

Good luck Paul though think you'll succeed anyway! x

Some good points made here. I doubt if many people would actually buy any records that Stevi made, which is why i can see him heading home this weekend. .

I agree but even if he was put on the tour it would be recognition of his talents.
So do the 2516 who have signed the petition. The aim now is 5000. Are they listening. Maybe we will hear on Saturday, probably it will be left to Dermot.

If anything is said this weekend then I think it should come from Cowell's mouth

I doubt if anything will be mentioned to be honest.

He knows that, we know that - It's the "Elephant in the room!" Is he going to say " yes, sorry Paul, I had to get rid of you, so I used all the dirty tricks in the book to make sure that happened, but really I'm sorry, it shouldn't have happened and something like this will never happen again!?" Of course he isn't!

Would it be his place to do that anyway? After all it was his act (Jay) Paul was up against so it's more than acceptable that he should keep Jay in over Paul, however, being the master puppeteer, he knew he could rely on his underling to do the dirty work for him.

I agree, there was something fishy going on last week, the early voting was enough to tell us that, despite having to make room for the biggest band in the universe to perform!

Didn't Cowell once send hone his own act, was it the Conway sisters. If he dud that why did he not send home Jay

That might have happened, yes, but the point I was trying to make is that by keeping his own act in the competition isn't going to make him look bad (even if the other act performed better). And to be fair to Jay he sang well in the sing off. Personally I thought Paul sung better and has been consistently better than Jay throughout the show...but to me there was no reason last week why he would send off his own act!

Same here. And I'm annoyed that they changed the format of the results show on Sunday and there was no five minute warning. Imagine if, in any other type of competition, the format was changed half way through. There would be uproar.
