Although I'm not a fan of Andrea, even I have to agree he is certainly one of the best male singers - the other was Paul, whose vocals I preferred, but now he's out, none of the other males can even touch Andrea vocal-wise.

Yes yes yes. Ben is great, Paul was great, James Graham from Stereo Kicks is great. But take Andrea's Somebody To Love, for example - it was just effortless! Not perfect, but the best of the night by far. If Fleur delivered a vocal like that, people would be going mental with praise on here.

In fact, the Fleur thing baffles me - because she is definitely a great performer and a fairly decent singer, but she has never done a 'stunning' or 'flawless' vocal, as people on here keep insisting.

Yes I agree with your points on both Andrea and Fleur...put Andreas vocals and Fleurs dance routines together. ...and we could have the next big name since sam smith/emele sandi

That might still happen with either one of these acts individually....or both makeing it in their respectable areas of the industry

Yeah, Only The Young are one of the only ones I'm interested to see every week. There's nothing boring about them.

Sorry, but Fleur has done 5 really good performances so far which is why she is at this stage of the show.

I'm not saying she doesn't perform well - she's a great performer and has real presence. But her voice isn't up to big songs, and she proved that on Saturday. She just sounded strained.

I like Fleur and am supporting her now Paul is gone.

She can sing, dance and she looks good.

I think there is definitely a place in the market for her.

Imagine the show without Fleur and Only The Young. It would be simply dull.

Lauren's given the most interesting performances in this series, and actually performed most of them in a modern style unlike some of them in this series.

Ben is a good Rocker, but Simon is pushing him more into a Pop route to make him more mainstream to The X Factor audience.

Fleur is an average vocalist, a decent performer, but there is better performers than Fleur in the show so the only thing that she offers that's different to everybody else in the competition is her style of Music.

OTY are fun, their best performance being Monster Mash.

Andrea's star performance has by far been Earth Song, like Lauren with Happy I think Andrea will struggle to hit that high quality again.

I agree. I concur that Ben and Fleur are stealing the show every week for me but OTY I really don't get. I have tried to be objective and see what others see but all I get from them is the house band at one of those Thomson AI hotels on the Med where they are employed to entertain at the kids disco.

Whos carrying this show. . ANDREA OF COURSE! !! His standout performances on 2 occasions have been left till the last...because they have been exactly that.......standout !

Insanity. There are only three contestants this year: Andrea, Lauren and the guy that always sings in the group of boys.

All the rest are just fodder to prolong the series. Andrea is probably the best singer that any of these programmes has ever seen. Not sure he's gonna win though since he's not hot enough to get the girls screaming, and that's all they care about, and they are the only ones who buy music these days.

I know it's a controversial (well kinda) thing to say but I'm sure there are lots of casual viewers like me who are watching ONLY for entertainment. We know it's a fix and we don't really hugely care who wins. I'm sure I'm not the only one to Sky+ and fast forward through the show, watching only the performances and some of the comments and then switch the results show on 10-15 mins before the end to see who goes.

I don't watch the xtra factor and I don't read tabloids so I have no knowledge of sob stories or feuds etc. I watch it purely to be entertained, and this is the reason I favour 'joke' acts like Stevi because they're a bit of fun over someone who undoubtedly has a good voice like Ben because I find them boring. There's loads of reasonable singers out there, unless they have that special something I just find them dull and karaoke. It has to be said, I don't vote, but I am sure there are lots of people like me who do use the free votes and these casual viewers must be enough to keep the joke acts in - they're a bit of fun.

I know my view isn't going to be popular and yes if the X Factor was fair the best singer would stay and the rubbish would go, but it isn't fair, it's done for viewing figures and I'll bet that if Stevi was in the bottom two with Only the Young (for example), Simon would keep Stevi in with some bull about how he's grown as an artist etc.

No one person carries the show. We all watch it for different reasons.

Not a supporter/fan of anyone this year. OTY are entertaining - never said they were great singers.

I am looking for an amazing vocal and it hasn't happened this year.

I would say Fleur and Ben are being carried (well supported) by Scowell and his cronies this year and 1 or two others. I don't get how they are carrying the show personally.

Fleur and Ben are Simon's acts; he's meant to be supporting them. The OP was probably referring to how they are the only ones making this series interesting, at least in his/her opinion.

I think they're ok vocally, nothing great. Really don't like how they're styled though and definitely don't await their performances.

I agree these 3 are quite good. I noticed Lauren get good reviews and could tell that her early performances, most notably Happy and Flashdance (What a Feeling) were quite original. Unfortunately, maybe through her or Cheryl's complacency that she has had the highest votes among the girls, she gave quite a boring performance last week.

I actually think Andrea will win, with Fleur 2nd and Ben 3rd.

OMG!!! You are SOOOOO WRONG - it is ANDREA and Ben who are carrying the series DEFINITELY NOT Only the Young and DEFINITELY not Fleur (Fleur is not bad although her vocals are not always on point).

I agree ANDREA is the best singer in the competition. My three favorites are Andrea, Ben and Paul (before he left) in that order.

Every one of ANDREA'S performances have been STANDOUT imo, how can anyone say otherwise.
