I've seen many people state Clara is pregnant, that's what she wanted to talk to the Doctor about at the end of the finale. I'm not so convinced, if she is pregnant, she didn't know while Danny was alive. She certainly didn't know during that call with Danny, or else why could she not tell him to his face and had to do it over the phone? I discussed this on the episode thread but wanted to put it to a poll.

Personally, I think she wanted to tell the Doctor something else in that final scene. Either she wanted to apologise for betraying his trust (TARDIS keys and lava). Maybe she just wanted to thank him for taking her to find Danny in the "afterlife", maybe she just wanted to say she wanted to stop travelling, or maybe she wanted to say she wanted to permanently travel because she couldn't bear being back at work and facing memories of Danny.

I think she got miffed that the Doctor presumed what she wanted to say before she had a chance to say anything. Maybe she felt he preempted her, but then she let him off when he dropped the Gallifrey bomb.

Also, if you she was carrying Dannys' child, would you need 'bracelet' as well to remind yourself of Danny

I've seen a Theory that rather than being pregnant Clara is dying and the Post It Note stating "Three Months" actually refers to how long Clara has to live rather than how far along the pregnancy is.

Probably not. It'd be a neat way to tie up that Orson Pink loose end, but the café was clearly about Danny dying, I thought, and I believed after three months we'd be starting to notice changes... but, maybe not!

If they explain Orson Pink, I imagine he'll look identical to Danny for the same reason Caecilius looks identical to John Frobisher, but it's the kind of thing they can quite easily orphan. Listen took great care not to confirm any relationships: Orson's a member of the Pink family, they might share a common ancestor, but... no, actually, because Danny's an orphan, and where else would he get the toy soldier? He must be descended from Danny Pink.

Okay, warming to the pregnancy theory!

She maybe is pregnant I'm not sure either way

Even if not she could always pop back to when he was alive and fix that little problem

When she lost Danny she said she was owed him back. Thats why she treid so hard to save him from the nethersphere. If she does have a baby that would be part of him that is still alive and with her. Maybe 12 could visit to give her a bit of confidence after the baby is born. Yes it will be hard on her own but she was a good teacher. So she will be a really good loving mother to her child.

You think on a family show she will be revealed to be pregnant?

Of course they could just slyly hint at such a thing.

Clara has developed quite a bit this season, which is good, but I feel her story is told, and she should move on. The last episode was a good ending for her character, however awkward. I guess in the Christmas episode they will once more dredge up the "should I stay or should I go" subplot that has been so annoying this year.

On the subject of what Clara is owed: she certainly has received whatever payment she was due. The Doctor cannot trust her anymore and she should be removed from any chance to abuse the power of the Tardis or the Doctor again.

Orson is likely just part of an aborted timeline that represents what might have been.

No, she was going to tell the Doctor that Danny was dead and not coming back, but when the Doctor started getting excited about having found Gallifrey, she thought it would be better not to burden him with her troubles, and to pretend that everything was okay. The irony being that he made up that story to not burden her (and Danny) with his troubles.

You do know Amy Pond was pregnant on the show don't you? Not only that but she was put into a coma and kidnapped for 9 months whilst being pregnant and then had her own Baby/River stolen from her right after birth resorting to never seeing her own daughter again until her adulthood!

If they could do that on a Family Show than I see no harm in having Clara tell Doc 12 she's pregnant with her dead boyfriend's Baby.

I will be very surprised if she isn't.

I'm not sure what will happen in the Xmas episode but if it is Clara's last episode () then I hope for a much better goodbye between her and the Doctor. After all they have been through.

Even if she leaves at Christmas to have the baby it may not be her last show her last as a regular yes but I can see her coming back for the odd appearance here and there as unlike others (except Martha) she will be alive and well on Earth in the same time line.

They wrote others out (Rose-Donna-Amy/Rory) with no way to bring them back all Clara has to do is phone him up or vice versa.

I don't know why I come on here anymore. Everyone is either pregnant, or The Rani, or related to the doctor in some way. Or the human embodiment of someone else's TARDIS. It never just 'is'. Blah. I think I'll come back at Christmas when I can cope again.

I do hope so. It's unrealistic that she would remain alive and well but not still seeing the Doctor, even if it's just occasional.

I'm gutted Jenna is leaving. She's my favorite since Donna

She might be, or Orson Pink might be explicable by Danny having a secret child or lover, or by being a distant nephew or cousin, many time removed, of Danny.

It seems I have to restate my post...

I don't believe we are going to have a story about an unmarried, pregnant companion.

(Unless she is carrying Ian Beale's grandchild, of course....)

It won't be a long term story if she is it will be her reason for leaving it won't even get mentioned until the end

Of course not. Have they even slept together? She spends so much time with the Doctor I don't think they've even done that.

Will it be a secret pregnancy a la Amy and River Song? They done that already.

I think it's very unlikely the BBC would allow a storyline where an unmarried main character got pregnant. Amy and Rory 'had' to be married. Even the relationship between Vastra and Jenny had to be a married one. So, no, I don't think Clara is pregnant unless there was a secret wedding somewhere along the line.

Why it's not the 50's any more most of the people watching with kids won't be married and the kids watching their parents won't be married it's not a big deal any more and nobody cares
