Hi all,

Can anyone recommend some good trustworthy CCTV installer companies?

My parents are getting older now, and I'm a disabled person, so having a trusted company to install them would be a lot better than risking me climbing up a ladder with the risk of further injury.

I live in the Manchester area.. so an good place with a good website and they check out would be good thanks.

Have a look at this site http://www.aaacctv.co.uk There's customer testimonials and pictures of the images from the cameras. If they're representative of the quality of gear being installing for the prices quoted then it's good gear rather than cheap DIY stuff.

Their prices are very reasonable too. I'm in the trade, and although I don't specialise in CCTV I still have access to trade pricing for pro and domestic gear. For the quality from their pictures, and bearing in mind it's installed too, the guys aren't charging a lot.

Have you actually purchased the CCTV equipment yet?, if you have not then have you got a smartphone?. If you have not purchased any equipment yet but you have a smartphone could I suggest Home monitor as you can purchase from QVCUK and they really are easy to set up.

You can schedule it to take footage as in my case between 11pm and 7am or anytime and it will send you an email alert and you can view video online and either keep it or delete it, it works via the Cloud and has an HD version although I am very pleased with the non HD version and believe me the images are really crystal clear as I did purchase one from Aldi which not only did I find the picture blurry but you need to be technical to set up as you have to open certain ports but Home monitor is wonderful.

Another thing is that although it comes with fixings to put it onto a wall we have ours just standing on a shelf, as I said it depends what you are looking for but it might work out cheaper at the end of the day and there are no on going costs.

Good Luck.
