I wouldn't say I'm disappointed because it's ITV and you expect them to want to make money, but to try to get people to vote on the contestants when they haven't even seen them in 1 episode yet is a bit unseemingly IMO.

Everyone's heard of TOWIE though and I'm under the impression that people judge those who are in it, without ever actually watching it.

I see they have gone with the completely original, never before seen, splitting the group into two at the start. I wasn't expecting that at all
