Question about the theme.

Regarding this weeks 'big band' theme, I was wondering, do the contestants have to pick songs that are typically big band such as Michael Buble etc or can they pick any song and make it fit in with the big band production? I wasn't sure as songs are not categorised as 'big band'.

Probably anything with the big band style...mostly old standards...those people saying bang bang for Fleur is way off base... Or even worst crazy stupid love...these will never pass as big band...

Probable like any week theme they'll figure out a way to call it a big band song even if its it's not what most would call a big band song

It always was 'proper' big band songs - Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr etc but in typical XF style, it's been stretched on occasions so that any songthat can be changed to have a live brass section seems to count

Edited to add - these were last years songs which were quite cose to the theme. Nicholas and Hannahs songs were stretching it and Lukes song was from the 80's but is very retro so it worked

Abi Alton - That's Life.
Sam Callahan - Ain't That A Kick In The Head.
Rough Copy - Hit The Road Jack.
Tamera Foster - Cry Me A River.
Nicholas McDonald - Dream A Little Dream.
Sam Bailey - New York New York.
Luke Friend - Moondance.
Hannah Barrett - It's A Man's World.
