GeoKnow

Was it supposed to be a pun on "Do you know", said in a mangled Brummie-like accent?

Thought it was an odd name for a board game, but as you've given us a clue, then I think you could be correct.

I don't think they're that clever. Think it was just a shortened version of Geographical Knowledge.

Well, it may be an "odd" name, but when one of the games on display in Toys R Us was called "Smart Ass", the name GeoKnow isn't that odd in the scheme of things.

Just seen there are four of the GeoKnow games on eBay, one with a Buy It Now price of 100 quid!

Interesting souvenir of the show I guess, but how good's a game designed and produced in about two days likely to be?

'This is our product, The Relationship Guru. Now, did you know that there are six million people in relationships in the UK, and most of them live in London?'

Apprentice Candidates are rarely that creative. If it was meant to be a pun they didn't show anyone pointing it out (and James would have had to have it explained to him).

Dara did christen it GeKnow (D'ya know) on You're Fired though.

Can you imagine playing this with foreign friends and having to do their country?

If it was that clever, you'd think there'd have been some footage of them coming up with it.

IIRC, there wasn't actually anything about how they came up with the names for their games, was there?

Think we saw Sanjay and Roisin saying they liked the name, but I don't think we saw them actually come up with it.

My OH asked "Geoknow - what's that?" I responded "Geography Knowledge". Was it that simple?

So the moral of this thread is if you are ever in the situation of buying 150 board games from an apprentice team and they offer it at £15 per game dont worry about buying the lot for that price even if you are a small shop because you can guarantee you can sell them for £50-£100 on ebay !!

Funny thing is I cant find any copies of the other game on ebay.

Yes, it was, but I thought the OP was looking for a hidden pun to go with the obvious explanation.

Well, it can happen.

Kinda like how Nurun came up with the name "Decadence" for a team-name as a nod to it being the 10th season (despite not knowing what the word means).
I notice that they replaced it with "Tenacity without any further mention (?) of the anniversary pun.

Yes of course it can happen, I didn't say it couldn't.

I thought it was an inspired choice of name .

I thought Rosin did a fantastic job in such a short time . I certainly couldn't come up with a new winning board game as I'm sure most on here couldn't .
