the problem of the man on man thing could be a very background problem and in fact the doctor turning up and lets say showing him the future even though he knows his fate could be a rather positive episode as he defeats the nazi's and starts the way forward for homosexuality even though he won't live to see it

^Perhaps L Ron could sneak onto the TARDIS and travel back a billion years to when the evil alien (Xenor?) put 'thetans' in the volcano in order to weaken the future human race.
In other words, an episode that shows all the teachings of Scientology to be true!
