But what is the celebration in aid of?
Hmmm tough question isn't it what they were celebrating at a homecoming party - maybe everyone in Lancaster wanted to celebrate not having to have Fleur shoved down our throats every 5 seconds

(Petty I know, but boy do I feel better now)

I listened to the interview with him on local radio this morning (and if I could find it anywhere I would post a link) and he is okay and a lot more philosophical about it all. He is still complimentary towards Mel B (genuinely I think), and is now looking forward to the future. Interestingly enough, he actually has been writing his own material which I would love to hear! I am just really hoping for a break for him like a Naughtyboy collaboration or something. Then he would be able to release his own material. He also said he was grateful for a bit of 'me' time since coming home (which is understandable) as there hasn't been time to think whilst on the show as they are all busy all of the time. I just think that all his efforts over this last year have gone on getting on the live shows and then on the live shows and the emotion on last Sunday night was a part of that.

Im half tempted to go down to R bar and see Paul but if my experience of seeing Danyl Johnson is anything to go by it'l be packed to the rafters, and you'l barely be able to see him from all the straights that invade these venues when xfactor alumni are abou.. not to mention being deafened by overly load speakers the blur out most of the sound anyhow.

Yes, I think this is 30! :P

I hope you will be sending some free votes towards Stevi though. I will be and I would suggest other people pissed off with the manipulation of this show do the same.

No chance, I have no intention of watching let alone voting for anyone. I certainly would not vote for any of Cowell's acts

There's a thread about Paul's homecoming interview with a link - I've just listened and he comes over very well (as I said on that thread). He seems very sensible and down to earth about the whole thing - and talks about the future and writing his own music which is great news. Not at all a moany, whingey sort of person at all, whatever xf tried to say.

He was too good for xf, they deserve Stevi to win so Stevi's getting all my app votes this week

You're missing the point. Stevi may be Cowell's act but he's the last act in the entire competition he'd actually want to win - it would damage the XF brand beyond repair and the brand is more important to Cowell than any single act.

Plus, you don't actually need to watch to vote. And free votes don't equal money for Cowell.

Stevi boy will be heading for the trap door tomorrow evening, and onto being a reporter on This Morning like Rylan did.
