How fabulous can it get?

So Barbara got to sing again - wonderful but more solo stuff please!

How about a whole album - Corrie Pensioners Sing Calamity Jane!

I thinks it's really good that Tony Wood is sticking to his plan, to involve the oldies of the street more. I think the epsiodes are good with them, and it brings a little sense of reality to Coronation Street.

i just love the OAPs in corrie, the bookclub, the neighbourhood watch meeting etc.

The singing was brilliant. Emily, Blanche and Rita should release it as a CD.

Yes. It's very funny. Norris's face. He's a sulky one when he can't get his own way.

Well, only to be expected when Calamity Reet whacks him over the head all the time with a packet of extra strong mints. Yee-haw!

Rita's horror at shelling out £4k for an alarm system! That's a whole day's vodka money!

I think those of you wanting an album are going a bit OTT with this one, its nice to see but not on a regular basis.

I thought you had mistyped at first.

Maybe "Soap" stands for ""Singing Old Age Pensioners"

Silly oaps

Sentimental oaps

Sexy oaps

No one makes you look in the threads though, do they? And it's the re-issue of a vinyl only album we're wanting, not something too far-fetched...
Better than those newcomers with their "ohmygodnigelharmanstookhisshirtoff!!!!" threads.

LOL! Yes, Amos. Barbara's opus is a forgotten masterpiece. And her singing in Corrie shows she still can do it minus the mid-Atlantic drawl she had on Wogan 13 years ago. Love the album and it's great for sending noisy budgies to sleep.

Ooooh keep your hair on, I'm entitled to my opinion, nobody makes you reply!

I have never once seen one of those threads you just mentioned on here, I think you're getting DS mixed up with the Beeb boards
