Band Aid 30 video premiere during Sunday's results show
Brummy Girl
13-11-2014
The new Band Aid single will receive its world premiere on ITV's X Factor results show this Sunday.

The video will be shown the day after acts like Ed Sheeran and One Direction go into a studio to record a new version of Do They Know It's Christmas?

Other stars taking part will include Emeli Sande, Ellie Goulding, Sam Smith, Bastille, Foals, Chris Martin and Bono.

Money raised by the song will help fund relief efforts to fight the spread of the Ebola virus in West Africa.

Hmm... Interesting way to play it seeing as Band Aid will almost certainly take the Xmas number 1 this year. Perhaps they are doing this as if to say 'Yeah, X Factor won't be number 1, but we're ok with it.' Any info on the release dates? I think X Factor sometimes got the week before Christmas no1 right?

They have before which dates back to 2011, they released Little Mix's winners single a week before the Christmas number 1 week and it got to number 1 before it went down to number 2 a week later.

The original Band Aid was a lovely idea and motivated by kindness. None since have seemed genuinely the same.

In what way? The artists will still be giving their time for nothing and us the GBP will still support it because we are very good at charity. If you think this is for self promotion then it is no different from the original band aid . At the end of the day they all get their promo slot. Do you suggest we don't bother and nothing gets done

I wonder if any of the contestants will appear in the video? Could be quite a good way of increasing profits for the charity

Can't we just send Africa the likes of 1D & Dustbin Beaver, perhaps that will teach them the importance of contraception. That would be far better than have those auto tuned idiots more recording time.
