LORD WAGNER! He temporarily brought life, colour and wild sex to the show. Plus a magnificent pair o bongos. Who else can compare, really? I only watch in anticipation of a wag-pocalypse. Got so excited when I saw that imposter....... Til I saw he wasn't on lion-back

This forum sort of died a bit after he left too

I have always <3 d Paul Akister too, though and Gamu

The most impressive throughout the whole of the live shows were Leona and Joe.

No one has come up to either in outstanding vocal ability and delivering every song, each week to the highest of standards. Since these two amazing winners, the show has been lacking high-quality singers who really deliver and this is what the show has been lacking the last few years. No X Factor. Just a contrived mess at times. It doesn't allow real vocal talent to be unleashed. That is why people are switching off.

I have seen many live singers over the years, and some disappointing as they couldn't deliver a vocal after having top selling records. I have to say Joe is one of the most impressive and versatile young male singers today. He is anything but a one trick pony. Who on earth can offer pop, soul, classics and more in one bundle?

Leona I have not had the pleasure of seeing live yet.

Leona and Joe were the most deserving winners throughout the life of XF.

John and Edward, aka Jedward.
They are now writing and producing their own music just like they said they would 5 years ago.

Probably Brenda for Series 2.

Although I have a major soft-spot for Wagner and he is a very close second.

Ruth Lorenzo, but also really liked Rowetta, Brenda and Leona.

Since then I haven't been as excited about a favourite during their time on the show at least even though I have liked One Direction, Rebecca Fergusson and Ella Henderson a lot after the show.

Still Joe McElderry for me - by far. In all the series' of XF before or since, no one else has engaged me as much. Incredible vocalist and a great entertainer too, with a wonderful sense of humour. Also encourages audience interaction. He has a regular 10-15min segment in his shows - 'Jukebox Joe' - where he takes song requests from the audience and if he knows the song, he'll sing a few lines of it. A risky thing to do for most performers but shows off his skill and that of his talented band, who seem to thrive on being kept on their toes. People who only remember him from his XF days are constantly surprised - especially by the energy of his shows. He's a bit clumsy (which he often admits himself) so there's the added element of 'danger' in him falling off the stage one day when he gets carried away in his enthusiasm
I love to see a performer really enjoy themselves (which is why I've enjoyed Only the Young's performances this series) - and he certainly does that! And he's a genuinely lovely person with a positive attitude, which helps keep me hooked

Second fave is Leona. I have all her albums but I've yet to see her perform live and that's on my wish list.

Third would be Rhydian who I saw recently on the opening night of his tour and was really impressed. Powerful voice.

In terms of this series, disappointed that Paul went out last weekend as I really like his voice and he was the contestant I looked forward to hearing most.

Leona is by far my favourite act that has ever been on the show, her voice was special and she came across nice, respectful and dignified. Others who i really liked were Joe and Diana.

Leona, JLS, Olly Murs, Matt Cardle and G4. Wasn't fussed about Ella Henderson when she was on the show, but her album is simply stunning!
