Yes, but only if you're working on the basis that you're likely to lose the task. Why not do everything you can to win the task first and guarantee you won't be fired?

I'm sure that, as in any organisation, that if a candidate committed an act of gross misconduct then they risk being fired.

Actually, that's a good point. It's never happened, but if someone behaved completely unacceptably - such as using racist language, or physically attacking another candidate - they'd probably be removed from the process, although I imagine it wouldn't be considered a firing as such.

That still makes no sense to me. Instead of scapegoating someone in case you lose, why not try to win the task? Even if you helped them out or pointed out an error (which might be the difference in winning a task), if it all went wrong you could still blame them anyway.

Bianca annoyed me last night during the pitch when she was calling out 'James' name as if he was a naughty schoolboy. The guy was in the middle of giving out the samples. Bianca should have instead filled the dead time with more info about the product as Roisin stated.

I noticed that too. I found it ironic that Bianca complained so much about James being autocratic as PM last week - and then acted in pretty much the same way herself. She was very short with Solomon while shooting their ad too. She didn't need to be chummy, but equally I thought she didn't need to be so curt either.

I sort of understood her actions while she was directing the ad, a director has to direct and abruptness is commonplace in that world...read about the likes of James Cameron and Ridley Scott...perhaps she was inspired by them.

But in the pitch, in front of those people, she came across as a teacher telling off a kid.

I'm not impressed by Bianca. She's shown poor strategic acumen twice now and last night she came over as smug and quite unlikable as a PM, particularly with her sub team who basically won them the task.

But she did get praise for her presentation skills so there is that.

It did seem that she presented well and she did a decent job of answering the "why no music?" question - even though her answer was ultimately dismissed as unconvincing guff.

I don't like her leadership style any more than I liked James' last week (they're actually quite similar), but equally that isn't necessarily a reason for Sugar not to invest in her. Her poor negotiating skills are a bigger factor - but even that's not fatal depending on what her business plan is.

I wouldn't be in a hurry to have a drink down the pub with her, though. Mind you, I could say that for the vast majority of candidates.

If she does I wonder how far down the back of her head her receding hairline will be then!?!?! I swear it goes further back an inch each week.

I'm not sure what people's sources are for that (and I'd rather they didn't respond to this if they have concrete evidence, as I prefer not to read spoilers) but if there are photos of her taking part in the final task (which seems to be how most of the spoilers get out there) it doesn't necessarily mean that she's a candidate. In most of the series (bar Series 7 and 8) previous candidates have returned to help the finalists, so it is entirely possible that she is there without competing.

Again, it is entirely possible that someone has a good reason for believing that she is actually a candidate, but if anyone does please don't respond, or put it in a spoiler tag.

She seemed to make the offer very quickly, too, as if it were now standard to include exclusivity in every deal. I think she could have sold the same units to that guy without it.


They don't really need to, because Sugar can fire based on past performance. In earlier seasons there were episodes where a PM would screw up quite badly, not get fired, but then get fired the following week. I'll be surprised if Bianca survives her next trip to the boardroom.
