Trent has tweeted that his wife, Gordana, will be dancing at Blackpool. I guess she will be one of the backing dancers, maybe? I am very interested to see her dance. Is there another Strictly power-couple in the offing? I started off feeling uncertain about Trent (because the partnership with Pixie seemed a bit saccharine) but I have really warmed to him and would like him to return next year.

There are always extra dancers at blackpool. I'd think she'll be in the opening numbers and I'll keep my eyes peeled for her as a backing dancer in the other dances.

Gordana is a good dancer, to me she dances with similar style to Aliona - one of our ex pupils who is in BTF is over from USA and he is off the grid so think he too is in Blackpool like last year

Trent is married...

I hope Trent returns next year and Gordana becomes a new pro

There's plenty of pros that i'd happily see leave for one reason or another in favour of keeping Trent and adding Gordana.

As soon as I saw Gordana there I must admit my first reaction was who is she replacing? I really like Trent but I'm not keen on any changes to the current female line up .

She's also a dead ringer for Aliona. Bizarrely

Trent has impressed me mainly because he is, ultimately a classic dancer.

He gives Pixie the dances, the steps and feel. I sometimes feel that this adherence to the nuts and bolts of ballroom and latin is becoming some 'passe' thing. But it's that that got me into Strictly and into dancing and the understanding of the beauty and power of expression within parameters. Yeah, I could disco like a queen back in the day, when it wasn't even damned well codified, but it's NOT the same.

I'm a bit cool about Aliona - although I like her. She likes to 'change' it up a bit too much, but she's not Artem, who I do not miss at all. I think he's a frustrated 'modern ballet' dancer - essentially a show dancer who wasn't quite good enough to make the ballet, and it annoyed me a lot.

So go Trent. And it would be very interesting indeed to see how he and his real partner dance.

And her name is fabulous, and a bit gorgonish, which is fun.

I won't be surprised if they sack a current pro in the line-up to put her on the show next year.....

If they keep the current trend they will need one less female pro next year anyway as we'll be due to have more female celebs than males next series.

That said, if a couple of female pros want out then Gordana could well replace one of them. I wouldn't be too sorry or surprised if she joined the cast with Kristina and Ola going.

Was she a backing dancer for brendan and Sunetra??

She was the tall blonde lady dancing behind Sunetra, and she was the one handing a balloon to Judy.

Several times.

She was one of the backing dancers for at least Anton/Judy and Brendan/ Sunetra.

I think she was also in the Mark/Karen charleston.

In Sunetra's dance, Judy's, Mark's, Caroline's Jive at the end and possibly Steve's but couldn't tell for sure. Maybe others too, lost count really, She was the tallest of the female backing dancers (from my view).

Of course the BBC might not hire her if she looks too much like Aliona. Producers will think the public are too stupid to tell them apart.

aside of the hair colouring, I honestly didn't think they looked that alike..

Plus she is taller, Aliona is quite short when you see her next to Natalie. We could do with another tall lady pro for the taller celebs. I M O for example Janette is too short for Jake.

I'm the opposite, at one point I did a double-take because I thought it was Aliona dancing!

Lovely video thanks.
At first , I wished they would stick with one "view" but then realised how much the staging of the dance changed the feel of it.

They look so good dancing together

That was a beautiful video. I hope their marriage stays the distance. Gordana is very striking, she reminds me slightly of a young Barbra Streisand.

thought she overpowered some of the celebs in the routines paricularly Sunetra she looked like and extra in her own dance

I thought it was Aliona in the background of Judy and Anton's VW until someone pointed out it was Trent's wife.

Is it Gor-DAH-na, Gor-DAY-na or the boy's name Gordon with an "uh" on the end?
