Do you think ITV would want to keep X Factor after 2016?
I mean the ratings are dwindling every year, XF is constantly losing out to Strictly, they have even been beaten by Downton Abbey. Everyone knows it's a fix/scripted. How long do you think ITV will want to keep XF at their prime spot on a saturday night? They are already looking to move it to accommodate the Rugby World Cup next year.
Unless XF thinks of something pronto to increase the ratings I think after their contract expires in 2016, ITV will axe it or change the days/times. |

Unless ratings fall below 5 million for every episode, then ITV will probably keep it.

The show is like the British TV version of the Superbowl with advertisement shots going for £250,000 plus on the final. I doubt ITV will cut that enormous revenue anytime soon. They'll no doubt milk the whole thing for all it's worth.

It will stay..sure ratings have dropped, but its not terribly low to a crisis where it needs taken off.. Not even close...x factor is a very big thing in Britain ...still ....
