This week we've seen her slate Cheryl. She was saying how Cheryl should've been live at the weekend she performed and that she would of been singing live if it was her - wether you agree with her or she is right or whatever isn't the point, she shouldn't be slating the judges on the show when she's still a contestant. We've seen her tell everyone that Stevi deserves his place in the competition and now she's come out and said she's worried about being eliminated because she's a favourite. She thinks people will get complacent because they will think she's safe. Oh dear.

Is she getting a little big for her boots? Should she be so outspoken at this point when she seems to be getting through depending on how good her performances are?

EDIT - This isn't meant to be a random anti-Fleur thread whatsoever, as I've been accused. The last 3 days she has seemed to become very outspoken and rather cocky, as I think most would agree with the articles coming out about her.

Oh dear, not another thread from someone who is not keen on Fleur. It's getting a bit tedious now.

What's the problem with this thread?

No, I'm not particularly fond of Fleur, but she will probably be the most successful on the show.

However, I think I've made a valid thread and not just one to slate her. Everything I said in the thread has been said by her this week. I didn't make a thread and say "Anyone else not like Fleur?" or something like that just for people to show their dislike of her. It's a valid thread.

I hope you realise that this is a discussion forum where people who like or dislike someone can post about them. Whether that be you posting about how amazing Fleur is and how she will sell millions - as you say about someone each year and have yet to be correct - or whether that's you posting about how boring Andrea is or something. Everyone is allowed to post about something relevant to this sub-forum.

But your OTT, constant praise of fleur isn't tedious either? okay.

But your comments have already been stated over and over again, but fair enough if that is what you think.

Please find where I have posted previously about anything I have said in the original post. You won't, but do try.

I think this week Fleur will do a completely different version of Bang Bang and have the pimp slot. She'll be ok this week.

Surely i am allowed to support the only act that i actually like, just the same as everyone else. I dont complain about people who like the other acts. It is just a matter of taste.

Aren't you being slightly hypocritical now?

You say it's okay for you to express your opinions on acts, just the same as everyone else, yet you complained at me for saying something - facts - about fleur?

I haven't seen the comment about Cheryl, but many of the guest singers mime so Cheryl isn't the only one. I hope Cheryl doesn't bring it up the way she did with Wagner...

Fleur is one of the front runners with the bookies, so it's natural to worry about voters becoming complacent. I can't see anything wrong with that.

I don't see anything wrong with this thread, it's hardly slating her? It seems that countless pro Fleur threads are absolutely fine...

I don't know OP - has speaking out in this manner ever helped anyone in the past?

The thing about her fans getting complacent is not good - the voting public seem to prefer their winner to be demure and unassuming and a hint of cockiness tends to be frowned upon. Plus, she's not that good.

I can't help but think of James Arthur's win, and how he kept his awful personality well under wraps for the duration of the show, even though some of it seeped out at the edges! Certainly a wise move - he would never have done so well if he had spoken his mind publically at every turn, despite being the best contestant.

I don't think it can help her in any way. Look at (was her name) Paige/Raign or something? Raige? From the audition stages - she was a decent singer, something a bit different, but rejected purely on personality and outspokenness. Not even put through for a bit of controversy. That tells me a lot about how they want their finalists to conform - speaking out is not encouraged and they could find ways of making things difficult for Fleur if they so wished.

And how many times have you posted about how wonderful she is? Over and over would be an understatement.

Don't think it's a good song choice this week tbh. I know it was her JH song but I'd never heard it before then and I'm note sure it's the typical XF voters idea of a song they want to hear in big band week, especially when she's up against other popular acts having classic choices this week.

OP didn't you post last Saturday about her average voice and how it didn't have any power?

She did NOT slate Cheryl. DailyStar are the least reliable newspaper EVER. They make up quotes and use them to exaggerate articles. Fleur confirmed on twitter that she never bad-mouthed Cheryl.

Why doesn't Stevi deserve his place? Just because YOU don't think he does? He's getting enough votes to get through each week, which is the format of the show. Therefore it's fair, whether you like it or not.

And I haven't seen this comment about "worried about being eliminated for being one of the favourites", but if true, I don't see what's wrong with it? A) She's worked hard to become one of the favourites - she practically has come from nowehere this series B) She doesn't want her fans to get complacent - look at James vs Ella.

And your point is? What the OP may have said last week about her voice is irrelevant as the opening post is not about her voice but her attitude.

You are correct with this summary. At the begining of the show she was 40/1 to win, and now she is down to 9/2. This shows the very good progress that she has made.

The comments I've read have been fair, so no I don't think so. Both her and Lauren were talking about being favourites, and simply spoke about how they hoped their fans wouldn't get complacent. Considering that they both are favourites to win (Fleur 3rd, Lauren 4th), their comments were hardly cocky. In regards to Cheryl, she said it was fair for Cheryl to mime and that others in the industry do it, but just that she wouldn't herself. That's not 'slating'. I don't see how defending Stevi from the hate he gets makes her cocky either. That's just friendly support.

Fleur's my favourite, but I really don't get reactions like this. Every single contestant is eligible for, and will receive, some form of criticism. Especially here, on a discussion forum. I've seen people respond like this to various contestants being criticized, and if anything, that's what's truly tedious on the forums. If you really find it so tedious, nobody forced you to enter the thread.

This whole atmosphere of reacting with hostility simply because your favourite is receiving criticism (not just you, various people as I said) is beyond tiresome now. Why sign up to a place like this if you expect everyone to simpy echo your own views? It's not gonna happen.

I agree with you. The rabid defence of favourites and the attacking of other FMs gets worse every year. We all have different tastes - end of story.

I like Ben but I get that he isn't everyones taste. That's life. Though, tbh, I don't really care who wins as I'm never going to buy anything by anyone on the show as they are unlikely to record anything that is my type of music. It's about an entertainment show for me, nothing more, nothing less

Haha just what I've been saying for weeks, some of the Fleur supporters are downright rude and hypocritical

And full of excuses

The OP even said it wasn't an anti Fleur thread

I will say Fleur isn't as safe as people make out I think

It's the same every year. There is always one that is beyond criticism on here. This year it is Fleur.
